Red wine. Unless it's being mixed with Cola, in which case I'd take white.

Oh and fuck snobs. My goal is not to waste an hour deciding if I'd like to spend $999.99 or $899.99 for a bottle of fermented grapefruit. I drink alcohol to get drunk. It's the most logical sequence of events.
are you sure?

Having to choose between white wine and red wine, I'll take white wine. If any whine is OK, though, I choose mead.

My message for the "hint of rosemary" people: Frell you!
There is no rosemary in wine, there is no vanilla in wine, there are no nuts in wine, there is nothing in wine except grapes and yeast! well, at least if the makers didn't cheat...
Anything that does not taste like grapes, yeast or alcohol in wine is just stuff from the barrels that was dissolved in the wine.

I can't find them right now, but there have been studies a while ago confirming that wine "experts" could basically taste anything in any wine. It's pretty much like art critics pretending to know Nat Tate.
Umm, I've made strawberry wine, and muscadine(or is that technically still a grape?) wine. So, its possible for wine to be made form something other than a grape, yet, I understand your point, and agree.

where is the both option as it depends what im having, if it is with a meal its white; if its on its own it red.
If its with beer, its both at the same time in a glass with other alcoholic beverages (this is what get me drunk very quick)

I don't get all the "dont drink wine drink REAL alcohol!!" posts. Wine is something you drink to enjoy the flavour, especially with foods, instead of say water...or Pepsi. If you want to get completely smashed then obviously spirits are a better option.

OT: I prefer white over red, but I like both quite a bit. As for the "wine snobs", I can agree that there's a difference in taste between wines, but you dont' have to sit there and circle it in the glass and taste for 10 minutes before you drink. Sip one, then the other. The one you like the best is the one you choose.

Neither. I like my whiskey. Not with food, of course.

I really don't like any alcohol at all with my food, though if there was no way of getting around it (i.e. I'm expected to have some, or if I'm offered a complementary glass), then red.

White mostly, served cold.

I like people with decent knowledge of wines. I myself want to learn more about the smell and flavors of wine, but not to act all snobish which is silly, I agree with you, only to satisfy my need to know more about wine and how to pick a good one.

I don't drink wine. For one, I'm underage and plus it tastes like what sweat smells like.

Besides, rum and whiskey are way better.

I tend to eat more food that pairs well with red wines like duck, beef, lamb and tomato-based sauces, so I guess I'm partial towards them. Really depends on the meal though. Fish, chicken and particularly spicy foods just go better with white wines so I drink them instead.

Blush wines are totally for pansies though.

I think prefer Red Wine, but I don't really care for wine. Some Boone's farm wine is a different story 3 dollars a bottle and taste like sugar it's awesome for getting drunk! I like this better than expensive dry wine. Fuck I want to drink a liquid not something that is going to dry my mouth out.
