Not too often. I might let out the occasional "Come on man", or "NOOOOOOOO!".

Not really, unless I'm frustrated, when I find myself doing this groaning/clicking sound with my throat.

If I'm playing with friends, we often answer to the game-characters and comment on it, but not alone.

I yell at people when they are being morons regardless of whether they can hear me or not.

No, not unless I don't realize the person I was talking to has gone and left without saying anything.

All the time, and usually it's retardedly random. I use the word "lemur" incessantly in reference to pretty much anything. Kind of like the Marklars from South Park. Or sometimes on mic I like to deviate from old classic lines. For example, instead of "******" I'll say something like, "Ah, I see you like using second chance, is it presumptive of me to induce from this that you frequently engage in homosexual intercoarse as the submissive, receptive partner?" in a high class English accent or cheesy pretentious Fraser-like voice.

Also in any Phoenix Wright game, i will insult the witness and prosecution many times per trial.

FUCK!

Seconded. Oh man, cue the major laughing fit as I now remember all my own very vocal antics while playing a game of that series. xD ....I need to dig them out again, it has been decided.

Yeahhh.... When I play a game on my lonesome, you will not shut me up. Literally. From cursing and shouting to commentating as if I'm creating a Let's Play. On and on I go. >_>

[sub]...So much I'm not allowed to play games late at night unless I'm sure everyone in the house is already in a deep sleep, too deep to be roused by my usually incoherent ramblings. -_-'[/sub]

Sometimes I'll just talk to myself "move this thingi over here" "Equip this doo-dad" "Holy shit this thing has awesome stats" but most of my talking with games involves swearing at the protagonist when he dies because he didn't reload fast enough.

Pretty much this, but then again I speak to myself normally.

I occationally mutter to myself while I die over and over in the game. That's about it though.
Well, I guess I do shout "DIE!!!!" at hard bosses as well.

Yes, I do. Want to know the reasons? Well, check out what I said exactly one week ago in this thread [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/9.268025-Do-you-talk-when-you-game#10257420].

When playing Starcraft II it helps me remember important things if I talk to myself. Although I still forget to build more supply everytime!

Only if something outrageous happens in-game (positive or negative)
Also, whenever I'm against a really hard boss and I lose but discover a pattern, I'll usually murmur an "Ooooh, okay...."

Otherwise though, I'm pretty quiet, even when playing with friends.

Yes. All the time. It's quite funny, really.

I either personify my character, and respond to NPCs and whatnot, or I complain at him for dying/cocking up at a random retarded plot point. For example, Pheonix showing the letter to von Karma. WHY DID YOU HAVE TO DO THAT?

Quite a bit, but only to say:

"Oh deeeerrrrppp! Why did I do that?"
Or "No, no, don't go there team member number X, there's *blood splatter*... Damn."

Though, most of the time I play with friends on VC, so I don't get the chance.

WOW! Well, count me as a 'no' voter! When I do talk to myself, it's done in my head... but I'm a very empathic person, so I consider what someone else would consider about me before they've considered I've considered what they could have considered, and so, I care whether or not the people living with me think I'm a nutter.

And I don't think I'm doing a very good job at defending that position right now but there you go.

I personally was taught at an early age to control my tongue and that it could get me into trouble. Whenever I log into any voice chat service (xbox live, ventrillo, whatever) I wish that others had the same lesson, because there's always someone who finds themself to be the center of the universe, talking not to others, but to themselves, clogging everyones earpieces with their vocal upchuck.

I'm not trying to be offensive by this post and I apologize if I do come off as such, it's just how I am.

I talk all the time, cursing, or thinking about a strategy aloud. Or I taunt the enemies, whether they are real people behind the voice or fictional.

Yeah I talk to the game/to myself. I usually do it when I want the characters to hurry or when they try to do something stupid.
