i do mildly because i swear on my life i THINK ive seen a UFO once or twice...first time a triangle with 6 lights up in the sky. the latest time a few years ago i saw a bright yellow circle flying real fast across the sky. This was when there was a storm going on so im not sure it it was a vehicle or something.

Heck, I don't believe in aliens, much less alien abductions. I just think it's a fun fad that people enjoy. Although it does make it fun to tune into George Noory's show on the radio.

one time i saw two people argue whether aliens came to earth in helicopters. one guy thought they did, while the other thought they were "too loud".

...that's all i have to say about alien encounters.

I belive is visited by earth by E.T's, far too much proof to think other wise. But im not so sure about abductions...
Proof?
Well there are plentyl of cases where pilots have to take emergency action to aviod colliding with ufos, there were 2 last year that managed to get in the papers, and many more before that.
A police heilcopter spotted one and tryed to chase it, but it moved to quickly and they lost it. They almost collided with it and both stated it was not a regualr aircraft.
google it and you will find them.

But it's not just delusional hicks from the South, though. There are at least 400,000 reports of alien abduction; the rule of numbers indicate that they all can't be lying.

UFO stands for unidentified flying object. any time you see something in the sky and you can't tell what it is, that's a UFO. that's a far cry from an abduction or similar close encounter, and it definitely isn't proof.

I belive that abductions probably do happen, but you can never be compleatly sure unless you have pesonaly whitness it.

As for UFO sightings, I belive in these 100%, I've seen some really weird stuff befor. sorry for the long post but(copy & pasted from my UFO sighting thread because I'm too lazy to retype it):

Now I've always been pretty sceptical about the super-natural, but last night just after going hunting with my dad and a few freinds, while me, my dad, and friend were waiting for the other 2 to gte out of the woods and back to the car we started seeing some very weird lights traveling through the air high above the feild we were on the edge of. At first there was just one, way off in the distance, but within a minute it zig-zaged its way to just the end of the feild(the other end) that we were on and made its way starting and stoping in a very large circle around the general area. at the same time it would disapear and reapear at different times even though it was to bright to be blocked bye the clouds.
There was also 2 more although they didn't interact. One was just up in the sky(I couldn't tell how far it was or if it was moving) but it was brighter then any star or plane that I've ever seen and disapeared occationaly when I wasn't looking.
The last one was only visable for a few minutes. it was hight up, simply apeared, and moved in a straight line across the sky like it was riding on cables hundreds of feet in the air. I had 5 lights, one slowly fading in and out(it was generaly facing our side of the field), and had 4 more that vere just bright on the side of it like bright windows or something. It was also shaped like a cigar, but one of the weirdest things was that none of them gave off any noise at all(it was very quiet since we were far from town).

I never really belived in UFO's, but this recent experience has made belive that there is something out there. So what do you guys think?

This is a true story of what I saw Dec. 9th, around 10:30 pm.

p.s. sorry if is hard to read, I suck at grammer.

Well, I can think of a number of plausible reasons why Aliens would do experiments on humans. I mean look at how people on earth have treated other groups of people they felt were inferior. Doctor Mengele is one example and then of course you have things like http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unit_731

So basically if we had some life form with better technology out there that felt it was superior to us, it might want to use humans as stock for experiments they feel requires a sentinent subject. There may or may not be ethics about actually killing such subjects.

I'm sort of a fence sitter because the biggest problem that makes me doubt are the abductees themselves and how they come accross most of the time.

Mentally I tend to pit the claims of the abductees, which seem absurd especially given who is usually doing the talking, against the goverment debunkers and such. I mean honestly the goverment raises more questions about this kind of thing than they put to rest, and then once in a while you get some goverment higher up coming out and flat out saying something about aliens and the goverment and demanding public disclosure himself. Of course then again all claims like "it would cause a panic!" about why the goverment would keep this kind of thing secret also seem absurd. I can't see any real viable motive for keeping this stuff secret.

So really I'm right in the middle. It wouldn't surprise me either way, but it's not something I spend huge amounts of time thinking about.

When it comes to the anal probing, I can see some investigative medical reasons why that might happen, but I tend to agree it does seem awfully freudian given some of the sources.

If you believe that aliens regularly cross the vast gulfs of interstellar space to stick things up your ass, either you have the single most irresistable ass in the entire galaxy, or you, not just your ass, are full of shit.

I don't think they happen. I wouldn't be surprised if they do but i'm sure they are not the ones you hear about where a guy passes out, has a weird dream after watching an old 50's B-movie probably title "invasion of the anal probers" and thinks his dream was real.

I share similar views to Therumancer. For the purpose of the poll, I selected Undecided, either because of ridicule or lack of credible testable evidence in the public sphere of knowledge, which may just be a lack of our own understanding of the universe in a applicable sense.

I would also like to point out to those who find the idea of a anal probe to be absurd should take the time to learn about invasive surgery that makes use of natural openings such as the mouth, genitals, and rectum to enter the body with the surgical tools. Apparently it gives better recovery times because it requires fewer incisions and oddly enough less chance of infection.

That said though, I would think if extraterrestrial did like to abduct humans, it would have something to do with their own unique psychology, so it seems like a poor standard to base their motivations off of our own mental programing. Personally, I think the closest equivalent may be that they are bored and just like to mess with us - the alien frat boy theory :p

Most UFOs are actually advertisement aircraft.

Not enough information. One can't simply dismiss some of these stories when there is physical evidence that points to an explanation of 'other'.

i cant possibly imagine a race so advance that they still have manned space vehicles, and would risk foreign disease just to conduct experiments on alien species personally. it just doesnt make any sense if a species is so advance that they can bend the laws of physics(and even if they dont) why wouldn't they have constructed mechanized explorers and researchers.

so no i dont believe in it, there have been obscure stories like this for years, i mean for almost a century people in england believed that spring heel jack was real. urban legend nothing more

further more, the frequency of these abductions seems rather exaggerated i mean almost every billy-bob-american-joe-sue and his aunt are being taken away for probation with numerous phallic orifice examination instruments... see what i mean

our first contact with aliens would most likely be with their technology rather than the aliens themselves
