i know the world doesn't revolve around me. i have friends that listen and understand me, and i know i'll grow out of it i just need a little help getting through it a bit more positively and not angst, angst, angst, angst. oh and to the last thing, i'd like to keep at least an ounce of dignity and not give away that kind of information, if that's alright.
OK now I am interested. So what was this decision all about?

Some kind is ranting about his parents I think, how they don't treat him right or whatever. Since he has not given us all the details we cannot give any useful advice or help him in any way...Which is nice.

Baby trolls are odd. The more you feed them, the less likely they are to grow up.

it feels like my parents don't think of me as another human being, but that i'm but a toy to them, to be molded into what they want. i can make my own decisions and just because i'm not 18 doesn't make me less of a human. i want to know if there are others this blinded.
EMO ALERT!

*DANGEROUS LEVELS OF ANGST BASED RADIATION AHEAD*

Baton the hatches! duck and cover! to the bunkers!
actually, my parents are the least of my troubles and am pissed at the world YOU PRICK.
[sub]Good thing I ducked and covered[/sub]

My advice to you:

Calm down and grow up. You're ignorant, young, and stupid.

Your parents know best.
your doing what most older people do to me, judge me. they think because my parents don't treat me as an equal that i'm immature "ignorant, young, and stupid". most of the time, they are right and have let me learn what's best but now it just feels like they're exercising authority just because they can. i won't go into details but no matter how old i get in their eyes i'm 5.
How old are you? I'm a minor as well, and let me tell you that you're coming across like a massive prick right now. You can make all the claims about how you aren't 5 you want, but until you start acting like it, I honestly don't believe you.

Yes, I actually have that poster.
You are legally your parents property so shut up and do what your elders tell you. Because yes, they do know better than you. If you do not like it. Shut up and move out. Prove that you can take care of yourself as an adult.
Crying about shit on the internet is so not the way to handle things and just proves you are not deserving of adult respect.
Heh. Reminds me of this other poster I saw once: "Why couldn't all of life's problems have hit me when I was a teenager and knew everything?!"

I meant they are odd for babies, not odd for trolls.
Oh I get you now, oh well no age limit on trolling

I'm 11. Nuff said?

OT: It depends. Some kids are 'tards that have nothing better to do other then piss people off on the bus, others like me ignore those 'tards and kill terrorists, aliens or zombies on games and then read a book.

Killing terrorists, Aliens and Zombies? The way childhood is meant to be spent.

It really depends on the child. Some kids are just dumb. They need the guidance. Some are not, and need less of it. It's really a case-by-case thing.

as a teenager, typically your frontal cortex is not fully developed - that's the part of your brain that controls rational decision making and inhibition.

so technically, no, you AREN'T able to appropriately make decisions for yourself.

I don't trust most 21-year-old people to make their own decisions, let alone a 16-year-old. The likelihood that you are mature enough to make decisions for yourself is slim, and let's be honest, most of this angst-ing right now is related to your slow shift into cerebral and hormonal maturity.

Everything feels more salient and the world revolves around you. No one understands you, no one listens to you, no one cares about you....blah blah blah. Don't worry, you'll grow out of it soon.

TO enlighten us, what decisions, pray tell, are your parents taking from you?
i know the world doesn't revolve around me. i have friends that listen and understand me, and i know i'll grow out of it i just need a little help getting through it a bit more positively and not angst, angst, angst, angst. oh and to the last thing, i'd like to keep at least an ounce of dignity and not give away that kind of information, if that's alright.
Well we can't really help you if you don't tell us what kind of decisions they are. Anyway we are all mostly anonymous. You don't know me you will probably never meet me and the people who's opinions do matter to you don't know me/us so its not like it's a big deal if a whole bunch of internet randoms know your problems.

Younger children shouldn't have their decisions fulfilled based on their own thought process outside of which meal they want(If a choice is present) or Christmas presents.

Teenagers, though unwise, can be trusted to make their own decisions.

Anyway, I have to say, you're handling this like a troll.

If you're a troll ,good job, man, you've done it well.

If not? Calm down and please explain specifically what your problem is. Right now you sound like a stereotypical emo kid and I'm resisting worlds of desire to make fun of you.

OP: From the responses you've given, you definitely do need to have Parental Supervision, because you are not mature enough to tackle life in any way. You are immature in the way that when someone says something that 'might' be taken as an insult, you immediately fire back with a full-blown angst-rant. Advice: Get a job in retail. Maybe for a year or two if you can help it [And yes, even a Minor can get a job, I would know from experience.] and deal with that. You'll find out quickly that you aren't the only person in life with problems. There's an old quote my father once told me about dealing with myself.

"If you feel like people don't give you enough credit, prove them wrong, and stand tall and proud with your accomplishments. If you can't do that, go cry in a corner and shut the fuck up."

Yes, I have mixed feelings about my father, but oh well.

OT: Young kids 12-14 are mandated to have Parental Supervision and help with just about anything from changing their clothes to operating the TV. Growing kids, 12-20, should be getting some basic responsibilities and a healthy dose of real life and that there won't always be someone there to hold their hand when the going gets tough. Any older then that, if you can't deal with what life throws at you, you pissed away the learning experience that is the first 20% of your life expectancy.

Of course children are able to make decisions for themselves!

They just won't make very good ones, because kids are freaking stupid as hell. This is why we don't let them make all kinds of major life changing decisions until they've hopefully been around long enough to have some sense forced into them, because they'd just screw it all up otherwise.

Looking for a sympathetic ear through posts typed like that is the definition of antithetical - you might as well attempt to hide by dancing a jig and shouting at the top of your lungs. Of course we were not going to take you seriously, you come across as a angst-ridden child ranting about how his/her parents "don't get them" and how life is "so unfair!" - and that's before we take into account how you don't capitalize, properly punctuate, or use proper grammar.

So if there's a lesson to be learned from your example it is this: Typing like an idiot makes people assume you are an idiot. So don't do that.

Speaking from personal experience, kids are generally pretty damn stupid, myself included. About 99% of the time, from what I can see, parents do know best.

Most adults lack the ability to make decisions for themselves why would children be different.
