I love my mother, my father was not involved with me at all bu I still respect him because his life is hard.

I was raised as a kind and friendly person and I can be self sufficient, I had some fights with my parents but in retrospect I was mostly wrong.

Funniest thread EVER!

But on a more serious note, mate, your parents are just trying to look out for your best interests. Of course, they can't do it forever but you'd be wise to at least listen to their advice for now and save yourself a bit of a shitstorm later. Meet them halfway and discuss things. I only say this because I'm 21, supposedly a capable adult, yet over half the decisions I've made in the last 4 years have been big mistakes because I insisted on doing things 'my way'. Not that I regret that, you live and learn, but sometimes it's the easier option in the long run to hear out your folks.

If you're a kid don't bother stating your opinion on this because you're a kid and kids can't think for themselves.

Now onto the debate, can kids think for themselves? I think not when it comes to important things.

I'm 21 living at home and I still gotta follow the rules, it's all to do with independence mate. If you hate the rules that much move out when you're old enough, just don't complain when the bills come in and you miss mums Sunday roast ;-)

*rolls eyes*

Every teenager thinks they know everything and can fend for themselves.

Then they actually grow up-some in their 20s...some a bit later.

Just STFU and listen to your parents, or do what that poster says.
