Eclectic Dreck has said pretty much all you need to know. What I think is funny is that I'd never even paid enough attention to realise that there were two factions. I sort of knew, but it had never occurred to me that I was accepting jobs from both of them.

There are two events that I remember in particular. One is where I remember shooting my way into a stronghold, accepting a job from its occupants, to then shoot my way back out. That moment was truly priceless.

Another is where I had to do a mission, and was offered an alternative objective by my friend. Fortunately they could both be achieved without conflicting with each other, so I decided to do both. Oh how wrong I was. I'll now get into details so if you don't want to spoil the story for yourself then feel free to stop reading now. One of the faction (I don't know which one they're both the same to me) had asked me to infiltrate an outpost, plant a signal transmitter device at the King's gold, and call them. My friend asked me to kill the King, then take his ring and deliver it to her and his son. So I killed the guards of the gold and placed the signal transmitter at the gold. I then proceeded to go to the King's headquarters and kill him. After having took his ring I was on my way to deliver it and called the faction employing me to tell them that I'd completed my task. I hung up only to instantaneously receive an angry phone call from my friend. Yep, the game wouldn't let me deliver the King's ring, despite there being no perceivable reason why. Well on the plus side, at least I got a cool souvenir.

it was very good but it was let down by the guard posts and their 5 second respawn times. Also with that much foliage around you would expect it to conceal you but it doesn't. Any way i liked it.

hint, you are supposed to do your friends objective before the other, that way they help you with the main objective

It's not a bad game, but it has some very annoying flaws, like the constant respawning guard posts that you constantly have to stop and clear out all the time.

Also the enemy A.I can sometimes be frustrating since they can spot you a mile away regardless behind what you are hiding.

Also, the driving portions of the game are kind of too long and boring at times, specially when you have to stop and clear out guard stations or incoming patrols.

The game is okay, I wouldn't call it a worhty predecessor to Far Cry (which I think it sone of the best FPSs of all time) but it is definitly not a bad game, fact is I would say it's one of the better FPSs out there.

Also:
The ending is very mediocre. It leaves a lot more to be desired. The game ends very abruptly.

Too bad the game has virtually no replayability :/

Nevertheless, I did had my share of fun with the in-game enginge:

lolz, nice vid, funny shit, i like the guy you chose too, morty was my favorite guy

Yes, it's a bad game. In fact it's a terrible game.

The issues with the actualy gameplay smack of lack of attention to detail (why do enemy's guns never fail on them but instantly disintegrate when you pick them up? Why do they always know where you are? Why is everyone instantly hostile to you?), but they are fairly minor.

The real problem is the bugs. I had it on PC and stopped playing it through crashes a lot more than by pressing quit. The range of glitches, clipping issues and outright crashes in that game is astounding, it's easily a rival to the STALKER series in that respect.
In the end I got rid it after the 67% glitch, the game was unforgiveably bad because it just didn't work.

Really? I remember doing a friend's objective before and it just completed the mission. Is it like that for just some or all missions?

thats the way it seems to me, with that mission if you kill the king first and give it to the son, then your friend will be there when you mark the gold and helps in the fire fight

This could be a fantastic instead of the terrible one, if it wasn't for one thing.

EVERY ENEMY IN THE GAME WANTS TO KILL ME! Sure pretty much the norm for a fps, but for one that pretends to be an open world its frustrating.

Its not fun having to drive from A to B fighting every step. Its not fun to drive along, see a guy pass you in his car swerve around so he can ram you for no apparent reason. If they actually expanded the factions war and added some basic communication, so that you could find friendly checkpoints and talk to people, it would be one of my favourite games.

Stalker: Seeing a figure a couple hundred metres away, not knowing if they're friend or foe, approaching cautiously = good
Farcry 2: Seeing a figure a couple hundred metres away, he already knows where you are and is firing at you = bad

FARCRY 2 felt like work, and that's never a good thing.
