No.. they should keep the game exactly as it is. Forget innovation, or gampeplay changes. I fear change. As a matter of fact, screw MW2, just re-ship the original. >.>

Seriously, I'm all down for it as long as if hit hard enough they can be shattered or penetrated, like a 'deep impact" or whatever. Which im sure they will be.

Off topic, i still don't see all the hate towards Juggernaut. I don't use it personally, i don't care if other people use it... i barely see a difference. Please don't hate shields for the same reasons, which is..whatever reason. k i am done.

really depends on how they use it. I see it being a very valuable tool for the squad vs squad matches, but I hope that it's not made so good that everyone uses them.

I expect it'll work much like the boomshield from Gears of War 2 so it should be great.

If the only way of killing someone with the shield is meleeing people then it won't work. People on COD are usually selfish killwhores, you can't trust someone not to kill a person you've just put into last stand nevermind asking them to protect you with the shield. Would probably work for things like search and destroy though, but team deathmatch I doubt it.
I will kill anyone in last stand, he still has a gun and is still hostile. It's stupid to leave him rattling off Deagle rounds at anyone he can see until he bleeds out or whatever.

I just hope that the higher power weapons can penetrate the shield. An M60 or a Barret would make short work of a riot shield.
That's not what I meant, I mean the people who shoot downed opponents that are going to die without their help or from a great distance so they don't pose a threat, plenty of people do it just because they are dicks.

As long as I still get to make things go "Boom", I will always be happy with a pack of C4 and a Shotgun.

They are just as good/bad of an idea as they were in Counter-Strike.
In other words, noobs will just crouch and walk with the riot shields, peeking out only to shoot occasionally.

The difference is that in CS grenades aren't nearly as effective as in most games.

IMO shields would work if they limited you only to a pistol and no sprint but I still don't think it would be a good idea since it would slow the pace of the game down.

The only way I would be on board would be if they could be penetrated be larger caliber rifle fire but that's not the case. The kinds of shields people can actually carry can only stand up the pistol caliber and shotguns.

It was in cs 1.6 and it was fucking anoying and noobish. there was almost no way to kill someone with it.
I was rubbish at Vegas 2, but using the ballistic shield I still racked up some pretty good kill/death ratios. The secret was, back into a corner, and crouch down - there was almost no way other than a grenade or a VERY luck shot to the top of the head to kill me.

I know thats what im saying it was stupid because it was really hard to kill someone with it and all the noobs ran around with it.

I think it's a good idea, I doubt it will see much use, I tend to find that very few people understood the concept of "teamwork" in the last game.

I see nothing wrong with it has long has it won't make you completely invincible(For e.g. you would take 15-20 more shots than a player without the Riot Shield could take) and you'd be forced to use only "light" pistols whilst using it(No desert eagles)
No, you cant use ANY weapons with the shield. Smart move to make the game balanced, but it makes the shield useless.
you can't use any weapon? doesn't that render it completely pointless. you might as well hide behind a wall and not bother fighting at all.

I think its a fine idea as long as it limits the players mobility somewhat and limits their weapons selection to light SMG/Pistols

In reality a riot shield can only stop most handgun/SMG/Shotgun rounds and shrapnel, and deteriorate relatively quick. Its not going to majorly alter the balance of any game IMO.

If added it would remind me of the original Red Faction
