Eh. I think what we had in both Portals were good things, but that doesn't mean we need more. I hate to feel one note but Valve has a lot of interesting and wonderfully smart ideas that should be getting time as well.
hint...episode three...hint hint...

I actually feel like the series should get exactly one more entry to neatly close everything.

Chell may have been released from Aperture, but I would like to see one last entry where she has to go back in for some reason, to put an end to Aperture once and for all, and to have GLaDOS experience a final character shift into Caroline, which I felt made her most likable in Portal 2.

The way it is right now, Aperture is still just...there. It's operating with no personnel, save for one maniacal computer. That's just an uncomfortable loose end to me.

I just want to see what happens to Chell, we spent all this time getting her out of the Facility I'd like to see what happens to her now.

Plus I'm curious what the outside world is like hundreds of years after the 7 hour war, of course we still haven't seen what happens in HL2: Ep3 so who knows if the Combine's still around or not.

No.

I just cannot see how they could make a third game, truly. Portal 2 proved that a full game could be made out of the gameplay of the first, but I have no clue how they could expand the gameplay beyond what was added in the sequel. Plus, the ending didn't leave much room for a third game by any means.

hell, if there is someone who could pull a decent continuation for that story after that ending it would be valve.

Have you seen the ending of co-op? It might change your mind a bit...

Eh, I didn't think there should be a Portal 2. It was excellent, but Portal was a game that stood by itself perfectly well. It seemed like a gratuitous sequel, and I would love game (and film) companies to leave an IP alone rather than automatically create sequels to everything that proves remotely popular.

It's not such an issue with Portal though, because the mechanic is pretty closely tied to the IP. Shoot-the-man gameplay can be built into pretty much any setting the developers choose, but it wouldn't really be feasible to develop the portal idea without revisiting Aperture, or at least tying in with it in some way.

No.

The first two games were great and ended neatly.

Have the dignity to retire the series on a high note.

I would like another Portal.

See, I liked Portal 2 or Bioshock 2, I'm more of the movie mind, I've come to see a sequal, I'm expecting it to relate to the previous one, advance the characters, add new bits but not so naive that I'm still expecting it to be as revolutionary as the first one.

I like the world of Portal, but I'm not sure how you'd squeeze another one out without making it boring or similar to the second one. I would rather not have another Portal if it was bad, but I doubt Valve would make a bad portal either.

Do I think there should be? No.

Would I like there to be? Yes.

The way they ended it pretty much ensured that it wouldn't continue between Glados and Chell, but it definitely isn't ended, especially given how co-op ended.

Yes, there should be, and I see no reason why it can't include Chell at Aperture Science.

But then, I'm one of the people who doesn't really believe she's free.

I think it would be better if we left it here. The last thing we want here is sequelitis. This time around the sequel was amazing, but the next one couldn't really one-up it.

I don't think there should be. It's nice to see franchises end properly rather than die out. They really have stretched the puzzle mechanic to its limit. I think it might be OK if they made a spin-off with a different gameplay mechanic, but I really don't think Portal can be taken any further in its current state without becoming stale.

Taking place at Black Mesa could be pretty interesting but I think it's better to just bring out a NEW IP instead of always falling back on followups.

No. No more Portal games. I enjoyed the single player and will soon start co op, but I don't want a third. I'm not entirely sure I wanted a Portal 2.
