Poll: Do you think there should be a portal 3?

The way it is right now, Aperture is still just...there. It's operating with no personnel, save for one maniacal computer. That's just an uncomfortable loose end to me.

Have you seen the ending of co-op? It might change your mind a bit...

Admittedly, I've only finished single-player. So, perhaps I'll agree with everyone else once I finish the co-op campaign.

Do I think there should be a Portal 3? No. Portal 2 wraps things up nicely. Chell is free to go, GLaDOS is alone again with her robots to test with.

Could it be done? Maybe. GLaDOS might ask Chell to do something for her which she can't do herself or via robots, and given her history, Chell could easily be the best candidate for the job.

Would I like to see another game with Chell in it? Sure. Maybe she could get added to the G-Man's payroll along with Gordon Freeman. Have two single-player campaigns. One for Chell and one for Gordon, with the two occasionally crossing paths, but otherwise having their own independent missions.

I was of mind that there shouldn't have been a Portal 2.

I'm in n full agreement.

I'm also iffy on whether or not there should've been a Portal ONE.

Yes I wouldn't mind one.
I disagree that it couldn't include Glados, Chell, or Aperature Science.
At this stage I'd trust Valve's judgement to make it good.

I didn't think there should have been a Portal 2, but there was and it turned out pretty good.

Valve aren't idiots.

If they think they can make lightning strike a third time, they'll do it. If there isn't hope for a successful sequel, they wont ruin what they've made.

So, I support Valve to make a sequel, but I also support them to never touch the IP again.

They shouldn't make any more games about Chell and GLaDOS (their story is over and I don't want to give Valve any opportunities to kill them off), but it would be interesting to see the ASHPD used elsewhere in the setting. Of course, if the writers think they can make another game about those characters work then they probably can. It's their job.

I would like to see another game using this technology. If they want to call it Portal 3, that's fine too.
