I personally was hoping and praying that the film 300 was made into a game and much to my dismay... it was the worst game ever and only released on psp. now look who takes up these task because it certainly isnt good game companies. I have no faith in movie games anymore after my dreams were crushed by 300.

Well... we have had some great Star Wars games, although the best was not directly from the movies.
Also, Golden Eye.
So yes, it is possible

Exactly... there already are some good games based on movies. And there may be more in the future. It is just that a high percentage of games based on movies are just to cash in (Well, most games are of course), and so the quality is normaly not exceptionally high.

Latest wolverine game is quite good, if a bit linear.
The new batman game alos looks swanky, although not directly based on the films

It's entirely possibly to make a good movie based game. Spider-Man 2, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Goldeneye 007 and the Chronicles of Riddick are just a few examples.

Goldeneye has been made.

So has Alien Resurrection.

There is the ability for games made from films to be great, all it takes is a decent developer and some respect for the source material without being a slave to it.

I've been told the X-Men Origins: Wolverine (the game) was actually better than X-Men Origins: Wolverine (the movie)

Usually games just built in the same universe as our favorite films work tons better than movie-games or whatever they're called. But there are still good ones, if rare.

It's already been done, a few times at least. Golden Eye was brilliant in it's day and Spider Man 2 was also very good. Then if we're not just talking direct movie tie ins, there's Escape from Butcher bay, not to mention a whole bunch of Star Wars games.

Now that Warner Bros. owns a game studio, I hope they realize any media they create relating to those IPs (such as Mortal Kombat) will affect sales for their other efforts (ie. a(nother) bad movie could hurt games sales, or a(nother) bad game could affect movie turnout).

There have already been many good games made of films. It's a myth that all movie games are dire, perpetuated by turgid cash-ins that get overmarketed and, as such, overexposed. The true good games usually get forgotten about, or don't get given a chance due to the overruling prejuidice against tie-ins.

WHO YOU GONNA CALL! GHOSTBUSTERS! The game was decent and it used so many refrences to the orginal that it might as well have been from Film.

The Bourne Conspiracy game had some great Brawling gamplay. It is a shame it was drowned out by the contstant bad Shooting and Driving gameplay.
