As long as its made by british people. So we don't get things like lots of tea rooms, wagers on making people speak properly, drive by insults etc

Could've sworn they already had two set in London. They took place in the late 1960's and early 1970's.

Still, I wouldn't mind a new one, though if they did it would probably feel like I'm playing a Guy Ritchie film.

Not saying that's a bad thing.

How big is london anyway i think its one of the worlds biggest cities ist it. Manchester might be a bit better though due to the more rough setting

No, London's not the biggest. It's one of the most densely populated, but most certainly not the biggest.

Hate to sound like a broken record but they did, and it was most pleasing.

As for sites for future potential GTA's? Well lets take a look at our check list.

A potential city must be

-Corrupt
-Obsessed with image
-Obsessed with money
-Crime ridden
-Marketed as something it isn't
-Police must not care and bonus points if they break more laws than anyone

Well lets see...

Oh I know!

LONDON
Your points sound just like it :D

Depends how you define London, If you take inside the 25 it could give anywhere a run for its money, certainly dwarfing greater manchester by at least 100 square miles. As Greater London its over 600 square miles, to GMs less than 500.

Of course if you want to be really pedantic, The city of london is only 1 square mile.

Before we move on to remaking Vice City, a visit to London is mandatory! I believe it would make for a cool setting. I would also like the new character to be likable and 'human', like Niko.

I'd love to see the stereotypical pedestrians they'd put in the game like Pearly Kings and Queen and when you bump into the the go "Awight Guv'nor" and you could have mission where you assassinate a dealer in Trafalgar square called "Tuppence a bag", the prison could have big references to Porridge

I'm generally against any England based American game - they're waaay over-stereotypical to the point where it just gets boring and samey.
How convenient, given that Rockstar North are neither A) American or B) English!

yes there should be a new version of gta that is set in England. i sometimes get tired of most things being in the US. It would be good if they set it in London without the people being either cockney or posh, maybe they could throw in some people from cornwell or Norfolk or up north, that would really strain other peoples understanding of English. would be good if they linked up to major cities in either England or Britain as a whole, but maybe that would be a bit to ahrd to work out, unless you can pay to fly on planes that take you to wales/ north of England/scotland/Ireland. A problem for me would be that no one in this coutnry has guns as a legal thing, so how can the police with 2 stars shoot u, unless they make that irrelevant and put police officers in with guns anyway.
I vote for GTA: Glasgow. Without subtitles. Hah!

Yes! Wonderful Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, also where I happen to live. In this city, real life is more or less Grand Theft Auto.
If it's anything like Kuwait, I'd be afraid of crossing the streets to get to a car.

Americans love the accent; no exceptions. People will buy it like hot cakes, and pretty much anyone with a British accent would be able to find work as a voice actor.

That's irrelevant anyway, it should be set in the Channel Islands.
*snip*
Natural barriers, easy enough to put bridges across, better fire-arms laws, corrupt police force**, what more can you ask for?
** The Channel Islands don't come under the jurisdiction of the Metropolitan Police? (grabs flak jacket and runs)

We obviously have vastly different definitions of 'likable' and 'human'.
You make it sound like I talked about Kratos.

Ok, maybe not likable, but are you really going to tell me Niko wasn't human? He had his weaknesses, his fears, rational thinking, sense of humor and he could easily snap. In the end you could really connect with him and give a damn about him. Now compare him to any other mainstream character (there are exceptions of course).

They should make GTA Bogota, one of the names they trademarked back in 2004 to throw everyone off before GTA:SA came out. Now THAT would be fun.
