Hey, As the title suggests, i'm wondering if there's still any mobile gamers out there. Since this is a gaming community i thought you guys could help me in this survey question. I'd appreciate it, thanks.

EDIT: my answer is "sometimes if i'm ever bored"

Didn't vote due to there being no options that fit me (yes I play them all the time, but it wasn't why I bought the phone :p).

And it's surprised me how fun a lot of the cheap games actually are. I haven't bought any of the 'big' game tie-ins (Assassin's Creed, Sims, etc) and have mainly stuck to a few of the more quirky tower defense style ones and a few others.

I've since looked at the amount of time I've spent playing them, and they've stacked up quite well against mainstream games. For example let's say I dawdle through most mainstream games in 20 or so hours, and spend around AU$80 or so on it. Then I spend < AU$10 on a few simple casual games for the iPhone and have probably spent twice as much time easily.
(And that isn't even taking into account Puzzle Quest - which I bought -again- for the iPhone after already buying it for the DS, just because I love it so. Shame about the new one.)

Sure they're a battery sink, but when I'm sitting around half-watching TV or something at the end of the day, who cares? Play for a while, run down the battery, and then chuck it on charge overnight as usual.

(I tried playing games on my old phones that all ran through java - they were godawful. I don't know whose idea it was to put them on piddly little machines that could barely run the VM, let alone the games.)

I have a Nokia N96 and I just can't be bothered with games. N series phones confuse themselves enough as it is.

I do have a few games on the iPod Touch, but they're pretty terrible, all but Geodefence, one of my favourite games of all time.

But if I do want to play games on the move, I use my DS Lite. However, I would love a PSP 3000.

Games on phones have always seemed that little but compromised compared to games released on actual portable consoles.
