Inverted for controllers, not for keyboard and mouse. I pretty much always use a controller though, even with PC games.

Largely depends on the game, and whether the game I played previous to it was inverted also. I mean some games don't give you a choice in the matter, and you get used to it, and if the next game I play does give you the choice, I end up inverting it, because I'm used to it. Like wise if I've just gotten used it it not being inverted.

I get why people feel that 'pulling back' can make you look up... But for me it's like trying to go left by pressing right
Which is why I never invert the X-axis.

An inverted Y-axis just feels better for some people. For instance, I have my Xbox system settings configured to always give me an inverted Y-axis by default in all games unless I go into a specific game's settings.

It depends on how you think of the controller

Do you think of the thumbstick like grabing the top of your head (ie pull your head forward look down, pull it back look up)

OR

Do you think of the controler held upright so that if you push up on the thumbstick the reticle goes up

Currently its a preference thing im an inverter my brother is a non-inverted
I like to emerse as the "Player" but thats just me

Younger players tend to be non inverted because its(generally) the default when you start a game

You can do that in some games :p
I'll invert the x-axis sometimes if it only affects the camera. Usually, it's 3rd person games, where i'm moving the character with the keyboard or left analog stick and the camera is tied to the mouse/right stick. I find that some games (can't think of an example off the top of my head) have the camera move backwards to what i'm used to. So i'll invert the x-axis on the camera only to get it back to my normal.

No, I only invert the Y-axis in flight games. Otherwise, I want the camera to look up when I push up, dammit!
