I use it but I don't "like" it. Far too many people go on there to update their status and have a moan, or as a friend of mine puts it - "facecry, facecry, waah!". I use it to keep in touch with people that I'm friends with who live far away from me now. Oh and to share embaressing photos. Apart from that it's just annoying.

I really know nothing about it, other than that I've missed social gatherings because the damn thing is so widespread that people think that posting details about a social gathering on facebook means that everyone is going to know.

Most seem to hate it, can't figure out why. Sure, it's not the best site ever but it's easy to keep track of friends and events, so yeah, I use/like it.
One opposite for me please.
Most seem to love it, can't figure out why. Sure, it's not the worst site ever but to me the concept is absolutely stupid (however, I do tend to despise most people around me anyway), so yeah, I don't use/like it.

Although I admit having created <url=http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000534739623>this profile just for the fun of it, of course with special e-mail and without any personal information. I thought he deserved that.

See, I signed up for facebook back when it was a college picture network site. Not the networking site we know today. So, I've seen it morph, and, I don't mind it. It's like an evolved form of what it once was. :) I never liked many of the other networking sites, but facebook entertains me.

I use but I do not like. I only really use it to keep in touch with friends and see pictures from nights out etc. I despise the culture surrounding Facebook and I would love to get rid of my profile if it wasn't for the convenience that it provides.

Facebook, as with most internet things is a waste of time for one reason... addiction. Facebook is a drug, as my friends can all attest to. I'm sitting on my computer quietly stalking the web, then someone hits up my AIM asking about last minute homework because they spent the better part of 5 hours on Facebook. It's the only reason i don't have one, although i might as well considering the lack of privacy my friends allow me. I'd rather waste my time on something useful, like The Escapist, or some online shooters.

I use facebook. It's a good way to get in touch with people who either moved away, are away at college or seeing what some friends are up to that I don't normally talk to often. :)

I use it, and I make occasional status updates, but I don't do those stupid "I:: Am at work. Work is boring!" or anything like that. I make normal comments like a would here, except they begin with my name.

I enjoy it, too, mostly for Mafia Wars. I just find it fun, even though it's incredibly simple. I can enjoy it because my friends make funny comments, as well as games, but mostly for Mafia Wars.

No Farmville, surprisingly. Always hated Farmville.

And I never add random people. If I don't know you, I won't add you.

Yes, though I don't care for social networking. As long as I don't get spam from the mailing service, I'll keep using it.

Fake name.
Fake name email.
Locked down.
No Friends.
No Games.
No Posts.

Merely a way to snoop around on people.
Snooping is in the Facebook Charter.

You know its people like you that make it creepy, right?
Thanks. I love you too sweetheart. Such a nice gentleman.

Turn on your 'dry humour radar.'
Facebook is an invasion of privacy.
Their policies verge on being immoral.

On Topic: I use Facebook, but do not like it.

I protect my privacy while being able to privately e-mail relatives and long lost mates.
Employers, co-workers, the government, ex-girlfriends, rude people, etc...
don't need to know who my friends are or have a syllabus of my life AND theirs.

Through fear of addiction and desire to remain as anonymous as possible online, I avoid all social networking sites like a bunch of social, Flash-game-ridden plagues.

I use it mostly because all my friends are too lazy to set up Instant messaging accounts, so I just Facebook to IM them.
Usually while playing something in windowed mode I might add...
