I hate Facebook, but then again I hate all those social networking sites. Just personal opinion I guess; I haven't a need for a Facebook.

I have one, I use it to see when my friend's birthdays are. I'll probably get rid of it though, as I rarely go on it.

No, though most people tell me I should. I don't like the idea of my entire life being on display for friends and family, where anything I think or say can be seen by anyone at any time.

Social networking is silly.

I don't use facebook. I created an account but I just never got around to actually going on there. I guess some part of me just isn't interested in it.

Facebook is fine by me if only for the Instant Messenger and some good people on it, also [user]BonsaiK[/user] likes Facebook, lets see if that affects some answers

It works wonders. Even more so when I go to college. Don't have someone's number? facebook them. Send a link but don't have someone's email? Facebook them. Organize study sessions. Keep in tough of my friends. It's like e-mail and AIM plus more, all in one. I don't have a problem with it, minus all that random groups and shit that people spend 3 hours of their day "liking" but then again, it don't matter because I don't really deal with it.

Personally, I don't see the big deal with them. If you don't like it, no one is forcing you to use them.

I had one, then tried to delete, but they won't let you. It just 'deactivates' it, which is entirely pointless when you can just sign in again and everything on your profile will be the same, and people can still see your profile when it's been deactived, which is pretty sucky considering I deleted it for privacy reasons mainly.

That just really pissed me off for some reason, and the entire website is pretty badly designed.

This. To actually delete your profile you need to do some dark voodoo and even then they probably sell your info to a 3rd party >.>
