Although the world doesn't need any more people, it DOES need my genes in the pool to help balance out the stupid in the world. I'm going to have like 2-5 kids, depending on how many my future-wife wants.

World's got too many bloody people in it already. I agree with the Chinese government - one child per family until we get things stabilized. Too many people + Finite resources means that someone's going to be left with no pie at the end of the day. If you want EVERYONE to live like an American, with today's population, you'd need 1.5 more planet Earths. There's simply too little to allow everyone to have a good life. There's probably enough for everyone to have A life, but not enough for everyone to have what we in the west would consider a comfortable life.
The only way to have a world in which EVERYONE has abundant resources is to limit how many bloody people live on this ball of rock. I'm doing my part - I'm not reproducing or having ANY children. The world only needs about 1 billion people, and we've got nearly 7 BILLION. That's too many, far too many.
And if you really want kids - why not adopt? The damage has already been done, they've already been born, so we can't undo their birth (without being completely, horribly evil) so DON'T have kids - adopt someone else's. You'll be giving a child a good life while not contributing to the bane of over-population.

I've always wanted to have a daughter to raise, just my own little world I guess. But I'll have to heal quite a bit first, and I have plenty of living and traveling to do. I can't see me being a normal mother, by any count... but I just hope I could be a good one.
Kudos and support for the earlier poster who wanted to balance out all the idiots who have kids and agree. To many people just aren't ready for children - and not mature enough to raise them - but end up being parents anyway.

I'd rtaher not right now, but it might be too late, seeing as I'm such a gifted and sought after lover in constant demand.

being the only male of three siblings (having two older sisters) the pressure is basically on ME to produce an heir to the family name. Sister 1 is getting married so she's safe and now I, the socially incompeteant son have to produce the heir. Frankly I envy sister 2, she has no pressure at all.

I am much to impatient to have children. People always hit me with that since they are your you wont be as bothered but I definitely don't believe it. So I am pretty sure I won't be adding to the population like we need more people right now anyway.
