Poll: Do you want Yahtzee to review Final Fantasy XIII?

I love FF. I also love Yahtzee. I blindly followed FF as a younger child, not complaining at all. Now, in my more experienced teen-hood, I can't help but dub over cutscenes and tear new orifices out of the game's logical-fails.

I'm looking forward to the utter white-wash, because I'll agree, but I still love FF. I'll praise it until I die, even though I recognise the faults. A true fan, shamefully.

Oh God you're not the only one!

I can still almost guarantee he'd hate it though. There is so much story to follow, even missing the slightest tid-bits of information regarding the heartless or nobodies can completely shatter your understanding of the game.

I don't really like JRPG'S but Yahtzee completely hates them so it would be another review like borderlands which despite me loving borderlands was funny

Sure I want to see him review it. In my opinion Yahtzee's a bit of a masochist anyway, and as much as he dislikes JRPGs he won't shirk away from this one, even though I suspect we might have to wait for it a bit (not unlike with Borderlands).
Besides, I don't take the guy all that seriously. He does know what he's talking about most of the time regarding the technical stuff, but as for his taste, well... he already shredded a bunch of games I liked or even loved, and that wasn't any reason for me not to laugh at the jokes.

yahtzee, that's a challenge. Insult a game from a series that is 20 years old in a refreshing way.

The anti-JRPG threads from people who played one Final Fantasy game for 5 minutes at a store once would multiple by hundred. (There are those with more experience in the genre who dislike them, but still)

Yahtzee is still a bit of an idiot, though. A number of his complaints in reviews are stuff that he could solve if he just read a manual or not be an idiot.

Either way, it would likely encourage more baseless anti-JRPG threads on the Escapist.

After all, this is the guy who complained about The World Ends With You solving a riddle for him. THE HORROR!

Oh Dear God, NO!!!
Not because I don't want him to, but due to the amount of threads that will pop up agreeing with him and the endless, endless, endless, endless, endless, endless, endless, endless, endless, endless quoting that people who worship him like some God will end up doing.

I am officially staying out off Off-Topic/Gaming Discussion/User Reviews on March 9th due to this fact and the off chance somebody is going to post spoilers for it without warning us there are spoilers and make me want to beat them to death with a shovel.

Happens every time he reviews a Nintendo game. So I'm with you. I'm not a fan of Final Fantasy (Excluding Crystal Chronicals) but I don't want to see all the DO you hate/agree what Yahtzee about FFXIII. Its bad enough I see the comments on his Nintendo reviews and I don't want to imagine it on that game.

i won't ask for a review of the series. (god that would take an hour.....in a nutshell)

but just KH 1 shouldn't be too hard to analyse.

I don't know, since we like his work , shouldn't we refrain from , i don't know - TORTURE ?!!!!

It feels like making Lenin run for President of the US; or mixing Branston Pickle with crap.
Everyone may like or dislike the game , but putting pressure on someone just for personal enjoyment seems a bit masochistic.

ok...I do not like JRPGs, and the only games of the Final fantasy series I liked were 12 and Tactics, which regular FF fans seem to dislike. That aside, I really, really don't want him to review it. We already know he's just going to rip it to shreds, and what's the point? I know a lot of people love the series, and that's fine. I know what it's like to have Yahtzee inspire people to hate games that you love, Halo and RTS fan that I am, and there is just no point in him reviewing a game in a genre that he time and time again reminds us that he hates.

Pretty much this; I'd like to see him go berserk, but dear god the "lol JRPG's suck" posts will increase by orders of magnitude.

No. I already know how he feels about JRPGs, and although I find that opinion rather narrow minded and, like many ignorant unfounded opinions, it's based on only a small percentage of a larger whole; however he's perfectly entitled to it. I feel having him review FFXIII would just be flogging a dead horse, or rather some gobs of flesh that used to be a dead horse.

Anyways, I'd love to see his reaction, not a review, to Lost Odyssey's dream sequences.
