No option really fit me.
I often watch movies and tv-series on the computer, but after about 20 minutes it starts to itch in my body, so I have to surf around for a bit before I can resume watching. Then it starts over again...

I have no problem with it. In fact, when I move out of my parents' house in a couple years I'm not even going to bother owning a TV. I can watch movies on my computer, the three or so television shows I don't consider time-wasting garbage are available on Hulu, and I'm a PC gamer, so there's really no need.

I don't really watch anything on the TV anymore. Although to be honest I haven't watched any new movies, series or anime lately either.

I do watch Day[9] dailies on my laptop though, which often last longer than an hour. And some other casts that can go on for 30 or even 40 minutes too. So yeah I watch long term content on my computer often.

I don't have anything against it, even with my 15.4 inch display with a resolution of 1280x800. I get how it might feel weird, if you don't watch long term content on your computer often. I'm used to it though.

EDIT: Although I am kind of thinking of hooking up my computer to the TV for MLG Dallas Starcraft II (which is going to go on from Friday to Sunday for about 6-8 hours a day, can't wait! ^.^)

One of the many problems that I find with my laptop is that I don't have any kind of extra monitor to use, so I am stuck with the resolution I have and the fact that my speakers are absolutely awful. Also, my decent headphones died on my recently, so I have nothing to go by. And my laptop isn't good enough to play any games on so I rarely find myself using it for that.

I don't really watch many television shows, however, and the ones that I do watch I don't have the channels for on my tv. I watch Dexter, House and a wide range of documentaries. So I do occasionally watch those on here. Really, my problem is films. I don't enjoy watching films on my laptop so much. Especially films like Inception (which I am watching now) that are around three hours long and require a level of concentration that I always lack when I have access to the internet. This is apparent right now because rather than watching the film, I am posting on The Escapist.

Yeah. Also, because I like to draw, I always have some old movie I've seen way too many times but still like as background noise. Or possibly a long podcast or something.
