Wow, sometimes this community are full of the worst whiners (might be insulting you personally, but I can't tell, obviously).

There was a thread a while back, maybe a few even going on, saying things like 'ooo, I don't like Jim Sterling' blah blah blah, one asked that he be removed from the site! I think he should be as high up on the video list as, Zero Punctuation and Extra Credits (maybe third on the list, but I'm guessing that order is based on average views).

I previously said this;

Honestly I think some people are over-reacting, I'm a bit indifferent to the Jimquisition, stay or go it won't affect me much, and I've seen 2 of his vids here, and that PSPGo one, which wasn't bad, I'd give it a 6/10 on the hilarity scale, so I'll check in with him to see which next group he pisses off, and if its funny, then I'll watch more, otherwise I'll keep on watching other stuff.
And I've kept to my convictions, I think his videos have improved, the Nintendo of America one had me laugh out loud a few times, not just smirk - fantastic work, I plan on going back and watching his entire collection here, (maybe not the PSPGo one, but I digress), maybe seeing some of his destroid material too.

So my point is, has the community here come to accept him more? Do we understand what he's doing better, and not take everything he says as literally as we had previously?

And more specifically, how many of his videos have you watched? That's how I'm going to judge his uptake.

I gave his first couple episodes a look when he started. I couldn't finish either of them. It's just not my type of series. I don't care that he's here, though. Some people like him.

I've watched all of them (though I didn't finish watching the first one. He started off pretty bad but the last few have been brilliant. His case is also helped by having the best opening credits music of anyone on this site. I have that song on my iPod now because of him.

Not really, it doesn't appeal to me at all.

However, I do wish we could have Rob back...

Watched him from the start. Liked him from the start.
Love him now though, his last few videos have been of exceptional quality, and I hope he continues to shower us with great videos. I'd have him second on my watch-list each week, after Zero Punctuation.

I'm missing the "No" option, his show is just not my cup of tea.
How about 'I still dislike him' wouldn't that fit your purpose?

And also, why? What's wrong with him really? You don't like his humour (fair enough, but why not?).

He's about, 1/20th as arrogant as Extra Credits, geez those guys are such critics, yet optimistic, its very weird, almost talking down to their viewers like their school children at times. I again digress.

Yes. Because I'm British, so I understand his sense of humour and I know it's just a persona.
I wonder if that is part of it. I'm Australian, but I love brittish comedies and comedians, Red Dwarf, Black Books, IT Crowd, Ricky Gervais, (of course Bill Bailey and Dylan Moran go without saying basically), Jimmy Carr... but I didn't think Jim Sterling really appealed to the humour on that level, I'd be interested to know why you think he does.

Couldn't watch the first two episodes all the way through, but I've watched every episode since. The main reason I didn't like it at first was because he was mainly addressing topics covered by others on the Escapist. Now he has moved to more original content which I enjoy more.

was the issue that people were getting offended? i thought it was because he wasnt funny. see, moviebob is an arrogant douche but i put up with him because he sometimes makes a pretty decent point...well he used to. jim seemed like he was trying to be another moviebob. he got the arrogant douche persona down but he wasnt funny and half the time barely seemed to be making any sort of point. if i couldnt find anything on youtube and needed a distraction, i would sometimes click on one of his videos and now i watch them more frequently. he still isnt funny but has become better at making his point, i think

I watched and liked him from the start, though I understood the complaints he was getting.

The whole 'thank god for me' thing he has going can get a little grating at times, but it mostly works. I laugh more often than I wince.

All of them. Really, I enjoy it more than most other shows on the Escapist. At least when this show is condescending, it's done for kicks, unlike certain other shows.

I'm not really comparing him to comedians, but I appreciate the comedy behind his persona. Brilliant arrogance and spitting venom. Granted, he isn't as good as Yahtzee or Charlie Brooker.

I gave it a change for the first 3 episodes, but it just doesn't work.

Eh, I preferred the stuff he did on youtube, back when the Jimquisition was still underground.
Seriously though, in his old videos he makes far better points, offers a far more in-depth perspective and generally doesn't flame bait as much.
He's still okay, but it's more hit-and-miss now.

Oh, and I'd answer the poll but it's missing the option "All of them (38)".
