Yup and in fact I just got new glasses last friday. As the doctor said I'm not going blind, but I do have a pretty high prescription.

In fact, he says it's possible it'll get worse, because apparently most people level off their prescription by the age of 25....I'm 25 and my prescription had some major changes to it...he said my eyesight could continue to get worse until I'm 30...yay....

Yuuuuup.

My eyesight isn't terrible, I mean, I can see stuff without them, but I can't really make out details on things at a distance and I tend to get headaches from all the squinting.

Without my glasses = VHS quality vision.

With glasses = Bluray

These are mine, being the trendsetting man of style that I am :D

I have to wear them or contact lenses all the time, I can't see shit without them. My prescription is -4.25 but I'm getting my eyes checked tomorrow and I'm expecting my eyesight to be much worse...

No I don't need glasses, great vision and all that. Kind of strange for someone who spends a solid 50% of his life in front of two large screens, and a good bit of the rest of his time reading...

The seeming oddness of said fact is also apparently borne out by the startling results of this poll: ONLY 1 in 5 people on this sight have good vision! That's... almost depressing really.

Nope, never needed them.

I laugh at all you inferior people who need them!
I prefer to think of as taking the first step towards augmenting ourselves a la Deus Ex.
Yeah, and if I ever go down that route, I'm never having the sunglasses thing on my face like Adam Jensen.
Where do you think his HUD info came from?

Nope, but I'm not exactly what you'd call a nerd in either case.
Have noticed my eye sight getting worse the past few years though. It's hard to tell what some signs say while driving until I'm a bit too close.

Yes, I wear them from the time I get up until I get ready to go to sleep. I can see without them but it's really shit to try, I have to get really close to read small print like this very text. The one week wait I had to endure without them from getting my exam to actually getting them was really kind of hard to deal with. Having the eye doctor dial in my vision to where I could actually see things clearly that were more than about 10 feet away was completely amazing. Got some polycarbonate lenses and lightweight stainless steel frames so I hardly know they're on most of the time so for me it's pretty much all good.

The only place I really screwed up is I should have got the self-darkening stuff done to my lenses but I was trying to save money and thought the clip on, flip up shades would be cheaper....WRONG!!!! that shit costs more than both my lenses together would have been with auto-shade stuff.

I have bad eyesight from my mothers side, I have glasses, things are indescribably more clear with them, but because I went about 18 years without realising there was a problem (We found out when I playfully tried on someone elses glass and... well... lets say I never knew clouds were so detailed.) I don't actually need them.

I have myopy (can see things very close well, but I can't see far away) and I am wearing glasses since the 7th grade.

Been wearing them full time ever since then.

Yes, but I don't need them all the time. I do however, wear them all the time out of convenience.

I like good with and without them. Probably more attractive without them because people notice how good my eyes look.

No. I used to when I was a lot younger... and probably should given that I do have weak eyesight in one eye.

Really the only effect this has on me is that the current craze for 3D movies is completely passing me by, as I simply can't see the effect.

Yeah I do. Blind as a bat without 'em, and my hearing isn't nearly as good to compensate. And of course, if I happen to not be wearing them for about 20 minutes, a migraine quickly follows.

I look good enough with and without them. But I hear I look better with them. 'sides, glasses are awesome because they're necessary if you want to do an authentic Gendo pose. [http://media.comicvine.com/uploads/6/68348/1545246-gendo_ikari.png]

Currently, and can't see worth shit without them. I'm trying out contact lenses on Friday, so maaaaybeeeee that might change soon.

I noticed that there are a lot more people wearing glasses these days, and that glasses are considered much more fashionable than they were even just a decade or two ago. Remember those cartoons where a child would find himself having wear glasses and everyone in school would make fun of him and call him "foureyes" or whatever? That never happens anymore. Like, at all. Or maybe that's just where I live.
I have a phobia of contact lenses going behind my eye (a documented occurrence) and necessitating a doctor's visit. Glasses for me, though thankfully it's just for reading over distance.

I had to wear correctives when I was little, but since then, never had any problems. I still have impressively good eyesight (according to my friends, who like to challenge me to read small print at a distance), but both my parents started wearing glasses recently, so I'm mentally preparing myself for the day when I have to do it too.

I'm rather significantly short sighted, but I only ever wear my glasses if I know I'm either going to have to a) read things at a distance, e.g. in lectures or b) will be in a large, crowded area - otherwise it's gets particularly disorientating. However, I do have a pair of corrective sunglasses I wear outdoors a lot.

Well I wear mine all the time but it's not like I can't get by without them, I just can't read a damn thing at any kind of distances. It's rather pathetic to be honest.

I do have glasses but more often than not I forget to put them on or don't feel like wearing them. I have had them since I was 8-ish but I can see just fine without them to be honest. I only really need them if I were to drive a car but since I lack a drivers license, that is something for future-me to worry about.
