I wear them all the time, but I can cope without them (as long as I don't have to read long distances) but I tend to wear them all of the time as, the analysers I use in the laboratory I work at use touchscreens in order to operate them, and I use a computer quite a lot and if I don't wear my glasses I tend to get eye strain and headaches after a while.

Don't need them as of yet, though there is a history of eye problems with older people in my family so I may well have to wear them when I get into my 30s. For now though im good, I sit at 20/20 vision.

Yeah, I wear glasses. I wore contacts until I was 26 or so with no problem, then my eyes decided to totally reject them and get super dry. Right around the time I moved to Texas, wonder if that has anything to do with it.

I have to wear glasses if I want to be out in public since everything gets blurry.

I take them off when I'm reading something, on the computer, or playing a game on a handheld. So at the moment I'm not wearing them, but the downside is there are times where I will have a slight panic attack when I can't find them. Then I feel stupid when I realize they are either right next to me or on my head. >.>

Started to get really bad vision when i was six, so i got glasses.
Still wear them and my eyes have (slightly) gotten better.

Sad thing is, i always have worn the same'ish model, thick black, i like the sturdy look and feel.
To bad hipsters adopted it as their trademark headwear, and people assume i'm one of those *sshats...

I voted: Yes, but only when working/going to class

But really, I haven't been to classes/lectures since I got my glasses, 7-ish years ago. Now I wear them while driving and when going to the cinema.

I picked other because I'm near sighted. I can see perfectly from a certain distance. However, when something is about two feet away from me I can't see it very clearly anymore.

I wear them but I can see without them. They stop my eyes from getting tired, they make things sharper and they help with seeing things in the distance.

I've primarily worn contacts for over 15 years now. Wore glasses from about 4th grade through 6th, maybe some of 7th, but thn got contacts and have never looked back. My perscription's somewhat bad (-4.5, -4.75...ish) , so I can't see very much but fuzz a few feet infront of me, but I can get by without them in the middle of the night. Glasses are only on before I get ready in the morning and before bed at night.

My Mother, Father, Sister, and virtually every single one of my relatives need to wear glasses.
I however, do not, so thank god for recessive genes.

Yeah I've worn glasses since I was 9 years old.
I have optometrists tell me that my vision "isn't terrible" but I have no idea what their scale of reference is. without corrective lenses I can't see more than 3 feet in front of my face and can only make out fine detail within 7 inches.

when I'm out and about I usually wear contact lenses, but if I'm just kicking around the house I wear my glasses.

I recently got diagnosed with a small case of near sight and if I wear them for the next 3 or 4 years it should be fixed and I'll be able to take them off.

I wear glasses. While it used to be only for Uni work, classes and going to the cinema but thanks to me being on the PC most of the time, I pratically blind per say without them. Sure I can not wear them but distance object are blurry without it.

Nope, never needed them.

I laugh at all you inferior people who need them!
I prefer to think of as taking the first step towards augmenting ourselves a la Deus Ex.
Yeah, and if I ever go down that route, I'm never having the sunglasses thing on my face like Adam Jensen.

OT- I need my glasses. I'm not as blind as my friends, but I still need them. I won't wear contacts as I'm afraid I'll lose them or I'll do some stupid thing and smash them. At least I can see my glasses.
I don't wear contacts because I freak out at the thought of touching my eyes. It creeps me out.

OT: I wear glasses except for when I read for long durations and when I sit with my computer for a long time. I don't need them to see things close up and I actually get less of a strain when I don't wear glasses. I am getting laser eye surgery as soon as I get a full time job though.

Only in class/on computer/watching a movie, basically if I need to read something far away or something very small I need my glasses.
