Yes, I have been writing as a hobby now for fifteen years. The shortest book, 12,000 words. The longest thus far is 79, 000 words and 142 pages long.

Nope. Unless I was going to be published, then I don't see the point in writing.

Nope, I write for a living (code) the last thing I want to do when I get home is spend more time typing.

Music is my hobby.

Yes, quite often.

I mostly write story ideas, fanfics and original short stories. Only a few ever leave my HDD, and some of the ones I've decided to flesh out beyond a measly 10k-15k words or so get put online. I've got at least 15 seeds (as in, story beginnings) at 8-18 pages long, waiting to see if I decide to go anywhere with them.

I've dabbled with poetry enough to know that I shall never be even a part-time poet.

I made a promise to myself that this year at last I'd finish writing a full manusript and take it to a few publishers, see what they think. 150 pages of raw text done so far on that one...

I wrote a series (6 or 7) of stories averaging about 200 pages when I was in high school.

I also used to write extremely stupid and derogatory poems about people I didn't like, although the poem that got the most praise was one I wrote about a sandwich I had forgotten about in my school bag- imaginatively titled "Rime of the Ancient Sandwich".

I hadn't written a thing for a good 6 years or so until recently. My husband had been writing something at work for shits and giggles and asked me to look at it. Since then, it's become a work of collaborative fiction.

Na, I don't. I'd love to, though...

One of my friends does. But she's intensely skilled at writing.
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if I see a book of hers, published and all, in a book shop in the future...

Sort of.

I mean, I write stuff for RP's as a hobby. But, I also try (and fail) to write professionally. I'm still trying to get something published now, but it's rather difficult.

Yes. I sometimes don't finish, but I am suck for ideas right now. Fuck
A good tip is to randomly grab all your ideas and stick them into one document and try to link them together in a plausible narritive

the story itself runs dry a few pages after you start linking them, but it gives you good ideas

I write, but only when an idea just sort of comes to me. I can't force myself to write. I always think of what I'll say in an essay in school before I write it.
Once I didn't and I ended up witha story about a windchime that killed people, but by mistake. I'm actually really proud of it.
Another impromptu essay was about a guy tripping on that stuff that ADD people take.
So as you can probably tell my impromptu essays are kind of... odd.

I like to write for pleasure, and hope to do it for a living. Short stories, novels and scripts are what I prefer to write. Poetry, no so much...
But I've found that my Creative Writing uni course has slowly sucked the fun out of it (but that could just be because of our lecturer). I really hope its just a phase, 'cos I genuinely enjoy it.

Written a trilogy of novels with my friend and are working on a spin off novel.

Yet to be published sadly
