I have made a thread on a topic that got absolutely no replies, but the next day another person made a thread on the exact same topic and got 20+. I mean come on.

Most die after a day or two.

Only ones that people find intresting get necroed.

All my threads are at around page 739 by now...

I've had one kind of long running thread, but it's dead now, as are all my other attempts...which is a shame, I LOVE some of the subjects in the threads, for example the "good writing" thread.

I've started two threads in the past, and both got over 50. ALthough I think this was more a fluke than anything on my part.

Woah! I only reply/ I am a sheep?

WTF is that supposed to mean? Plenty of people contribute to this site without making any topics at all. It's perfectly fine just to add to what others have already made, then you never risk the wrath of creating a new thread without consulting the search bar beforehand.
To add to this point, if everybody made threads, then there would be too many threads. Some of us have to spend time only replying to all of these threads, or else no one would have any replies. I guess that makes me a sheep.

Obviously I'm new to the forums, but I don't think I'll start a thread just to get a badge. If I had a legitimate question, I'd probably ask, but otherwise, I enjoy participating in the other threads just fine. If that makes me a sheep, then w/e.

Only ever created one thread, and it wasn't for badges, it was for suggestions for good outings at a place I had planned on visiting.

Otherwise, I only reply. I'm not clever or interested (interesting?) enough to come up with anything, I'm afraid.

Mine usually do, but I once managed to garner about 100 replies(about 8 pages) in one of my threads.

Yeah, my threads go kaput pretty quickly.

I guess they just don't capture the attention of all you guys and girls out there.

Yea, most questions that require a good amount of thought go no where!

However, 'Whats your favourite movie esque' threads go far!

I only reply. I've nothing interesting to ask. Should I think of something, I'll do it.

Also I tend not to read threads already over a page since I like to read all the posts before contributing (So not to provide an opinion already made 3 or 4 times) but don't like having to spend much time reading.

This is why my post count is so low considering how long I've been here.

Thought my thread on asking me about South Korea would be interesting. But that tanked.

Despite immense interest in Asian pop music, my thread went down the crapper quickly

Yeah, this happens with almost all of my threads. I have very bad thread luck. :p

Hopefully, the next one I'm working will be better.
[sub](It won't but it would be worth a shot. :p)[/sub]
