The new master was awesome, though thankfully didn't get much screen time. if they used him any more than they did it wouldn't be all that good.

the Daleks are awesome. those VOICES win forever. especially when they are not saying EXTERMINATE. like "YOU ARE BET-TER AT DY-ING."

Most of Moffats stuff is awesome IMO.

Cybermen...

they are kind of... STUPID honestly. from what I heard, they were effective in the old show. well okay but that doesnt mean they have to show up in the new series.

the BEST enemy however is the Midnight entity.

that was totally FUCKED UP.

My favourite was the Weeping Angels, but only in 'Blink'. The two parter with them in was pretty disappointing.

The Derek Jacobi master was epic. The Doctor's reaction when he's with a dalek just makes it but my favorite new villain has to be the family of blood.

Dalek's, actually.

I really like the Master, he's absolutely epic... but cmon, as far as arch-enemies go, it has to be the Dalek's, not the Master.

Yes, the Master is very similar to the Doctor but evil and whatnot, but that destroys the point of an arch-enemy - they're so similar that the Master isn't even always the villain, and the Doctor certainly doesn't view him in such a way.

the Dalek's are really the absolute polar opposite in every way to the Doctor, except from the fact that they are both very clever, and that is what makes them the ultimate villain.

edit: actually, now that I think about it the Dream Lord (new villain dude... unless he came out in one of the old series that I don't know about?) is a pretty damned good choice for top villain too - especially considering the Doctor had to play by the Dream Lord's rules throughout the entire episode, and didn't even beat him at the end, really.

Weeping Angels all the way. They are so creepy. I think some of their sting has been lost in the last episode since at one point we see them move but whatever. They are still awesome.
Weeping angels are creepy as hell. I can't look at statues anymore without wondering.
The cybermen are vastly improved in the new series now that they got rid of the vicious gold allergy that they had. Yes cybermen used to be allergic to gold. Throw gold dust at them and their vents clogged up and they suffocated, allergy.
But the Master is my favorite recurring villian. Specifically way back when Anthony Ainley played him. Ignoring the shrink ray he had. He was calous, cruel, brilliant and mischeviously evil all with a smile, rather smirk, on his face. John Simms is a lot of fun as the Master but Anthony Ainley played him as just evil and proud of it.

Difficult to beat another timelord so the Master, Morbius or Omega really, it was good to see Rasalom and now that Moffats got the reigns were finally seeing less of the star trek "push a button technobabble beat the bad guy gibberish". Im really hoping they troll the archives and bring back some more of the oldie but goody villains. The ice warriors might actually help us with global warming!! Oh who am i kidding Davros, it has to be Davros, how can you beat a meglomaniac, nazi genius for a villain? That is until they reduced him to being simply the crazy old uncle living in the cellar of the Dalek flagship..

While The Master was better than all of the other enemies, I have to say Daleks do to what they represent in the Whoniverse. They are The Doctor's ultimate enemies.

Whilst the master was awesome with "here... come... the... drums..." and dancing, my favorite is a mix between the ood for the "zombie horde" style enemy and The Weeping Angels from Blink as solo-psycho enemies... The Angels weren't as good in The Time of Angels, too much was explained about them and there were too many of them.

I would go with the Master. He's like a different side of the Doctor, with all the cleverness, insanity and good dress sense(Until eleven anyway. Bow ties are NEVER cool -_-) that entails.

But props to the Midnight Entity for being the scariest Who monster, hands down.

Hands down.

Cybermen. After all, they're more or less humans without emotions (Ok, and a lot of metal too) but it's quite scary to see what these, these emotionless 'humans' are capable of.

I can't take Davros seriously because his name sounds too much like Stavros...

The midnight entity was brilliant. That is possibly my favourite episode of doctor who of all time for two reasons. One, the doctor never really worked out what it was, and two, because it didn't have a cheery happy everyone hugs each other ending.
