IMHO, it doesn't get much better than Doctor Who. It's just something about Sci-Fi/Fantasy that doesn't need a massive, over-arching plotline to drive the show, but does it on a show-by show basis. Not many shows do that, save SG-1 (seasons 3-5) and _some_ Star Trek.

I agree that now Steven Moffatt is in charge it *should* be amazing, as I really enjoy his writing style, but I don't like the new guy, AT ALL.
I had the original '64 theme as my cell phone ring for a while. Clearly I don't like Doctor Who. 
Still watch any Tom Baker/ Jon Pertwee episodes I can find. There used to be an omnibus on weekends, starting at 6am, only reason I'd get out of bed
Christopher Eccleston was good, I think he should have stayed longer, and David Tennant has left some pretty big boots for Matt Smith to fill. But will someone please bring back the jelly babies?

Im having a DW-marathon with a girl I know whos a Who-fan aswell (we are in low stock here in Norway) this easter.
We are going to watch every episode from "Rose" to "The planet of the dead".

The original Daleks are great! And the Cybermen, but I'm glad they've updated them a little bit over the years.
