So with Series 5 of Doctor Who coming to a close in the next month or so, a question must asked.
Who's your favorite New Who Doctor and why? Discuss companions too, they're important.

Personally, I love Matt Smith. He's quirky, plays his part brilliantly, and overall just makes me believe that he is indeed the Doctor. Although, my favorite companion was Donna simply because she didn't fall in love with the Doctor. She was useful, and just wanted to be a total bro.

I love them all. I've watched every EP since the 2005 reboot, and I really think they were all brilliant. I picked Chris Eccleston for no reason other than personal preference, but all 3 are real blinders.

Matt Smith was the first doctor I knew about, but he talks way way way too much and too fast. I like David Tennant.

Well, I still feel like I'm betraying David Tennant (who's MY Doctor) by saying this but I think Matt Smith is wonderful.
I've concluded, however, it's pointless saying 'who's the best Doctor' or 'who's your favourite Doctor' 'cos actually I love them all, each and every one of the eleven in there own way because they are ALL the Doctor.
Compainions wise I'm a stickler for Rose Tyler (you could say she's MY compainion in fact) because she was an every-girl, she was us, in away, along with the Doctor. It was her story but also ours and I liked that, plus she was everything a compainion should be.
From the old series: I love Susan Foreman because she's so charming as well as Romana.
And although we've not had many, Ian Chesterton is my favourite male companion, being an equal match for the Doctor as well as brave and inteligent.
Yeah, there we go...

In my opinion David Tennant is The Doctor. His attitude was in my opinion the way a lonely immortal with that amount of power would act. He was kind and just wants to watch as the universe unfold (except when there are children crying). It definitely helps that David Tennant wants to be The Doctor since he was a little child.

Uhh...what Doctor Who were you watching? Donna was arguably the most in love with the Doctor.

Right now I have to say David Tennant, with Matt behind him, and Christopher not to far behind after that. I started watching around Season 3 of the restart so I started with Tennant, and as the shirt says: "You never forget your first Doctor"

Tennant's Doctor was starting awesome but starting in the end of Season 3 and through Season 4 we start to see him getting bitter, which works for the character arc. Matt has brought new life to The Doctor. I did love the darker nature that Christopher brought in Season 1 though.

In b4 TimeLord's strings and kettles.

Christopher Eccleston, he was the first Doc I knew and I just think he's fantastic. Additionally I really love his quirky smile and his accent.

Christopher Ecelson (however you spell it) he was my favorite
he seemed smarter and closer to the character than Tennent he had the best stories and he handled them best
plus his conflicts are well thought out and slightly less farfetched than the others
he was also the star of my favorite episode i forgot its name but it occured during the London Blitz with the creepy gas mask People and in the end actually made sense

You must have Donna confused with Rose, because that makes absolutely no sense.

The Empty Child, actually two episodes. Even won an award for best drama if I remember correctly. And I agree, that episode was so damn good and scary at the same time that it easily is the best one with Eccleston as the Doctor.
Well, except maybe for the finale that is. "I'm the Bad Wolf" was damn impressive.

Although my first time of watching Doctor who was with Christopher Eccleston but I do think that David Tennant is my favourite!

Though I have tried to watch more and older Doctor Who and every Doctor I see I have liked so when choosing my favourite Doctor is like asking me white chocolate or milk chocolate!

I love them all and I can never decide!

Well if I have to pick one from 2005 on, then I would pick David Tennant. But if I can go earlyer I would go with Tom Baker.

David Tennant, because... I can't really think of a reason why, I just really found that season incredibly enjoyable.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with it. I just wanted to discuss the current Doctors at this time. My favorite old Doctor would probably be McCoy, the way he rolled his R's was magnificent.

*Opens time window with a kettle and some string*

Because their aren't enough spaces in the poll for every Doctor :p

OT: It is a close call between Tennant and Eccleston

Tennant wins because I own a replica of his coat xD
