It looks like a simple question, but if you ask someone about this he/she would look at you either as a madman/woman or think it's stupid, but then thinking only that the center of a planet is made of Nikel and Iron (mainly) is rather coldly logical and lacks this unexplainable thingy no?

imho: i won't answer neither yes or no.

Well, technically, a planet isn't alive, so I doubt it. It's covered in crawling, growing, walking living things, but so is my bathtub and IT doesn't have a soul.

I think that this is a question that doesn't need to be answered.
I'm not saying that it doesn't, I'm not saying that it does. I'm saying that noone knows, and it's meant to be that way.
Both answers are false, because we just don't know.

so what you say is that it's better not to find out about it...

Every question needs to be answered, that's the force behind progress. Knowledge.
Well, except the meaning of life. That would just screw with our heads.

As mentioned above, I do not believe in the concept of souls/soulmates/soulpets etc. so no. No it does not.

I'm saying that it's impossible.

Planets aren't alive as far as I know, but are covered with living things, so nope, no soul for planets.

Hmmm....

Depends on what you think of as a soul:

The "logical" idea of a soul is generally sentience.
The "spiritual" idea of a soul is entirely different, and extremely subjective.

My opinion?
"Logical" : No
"Spiritual": Yes

Wiccans would tell you that. I actually sort of agree. It's proven that certain things like music help plants grow in different ways, and if they were completely inanimate that wouldn't happen. I wouldn't say the planet has a soul, but the planet is definitely "alive" IMO.

There is no such thing as a 'soul'. Ergo, the Earth doesn't have one.

Wait where do Nickel, Iron and logic come into this, and what's unexplainable?

Oh, yes it is.
Stagnation is the worst that could happen to our society.
