I admit that I usually have to download game OSTs, since many of them are impossible to find, but still. Here's my attempt.VinnyKings said:Does anyone buy OSTs from video games/movies that have really good music. I just recently bought Fallout 3 soundtrack because I like the jazz music. I also have the Super Mario Galaxy soundtrack and to make things nerdier for me I have the Lost Woods(Zelda: Ocarina of Time) as my ringtone.
Can anyone top that?

My iTunes library is just under 35 gigs. About 17 of those are game soundtracks. If you count my movie and anime soundtracks, it's just over 23 gigs.
My phone has ringtones for the Steel Samurai song from the Phoenix Wright games, the Crash Bandicoot theme, the Chocobo theme, Morning Sunlight (a symphonic mix of a Chrono Trigger song), the Mario Theme, Jacinto Prison (from the first Gears of War: surprisingly, one of the best soundtracks I've heard), and the version of Still Alive that plays over the radios in Portal. For text alerts, I have the Zelda "Item get" tone, the sound that plays when you uncover a clover in Okami, the opening notes to Pac-Man, "It'sa me, Mario!", "Objection!", and "Hey, listen!"
Currently set as my tones are Brand New Day from Dr Horrible's Sing-Along Blog and, for receiving texts, the Final Fantasy victory fanfare. Oh, and my dad's special ringtone is Kefka's Theme. Final Fantasy VI players should know the implications there...
Yes, I am a hopeless nerd. Proud of it!
And for the record, the Super Mario Galaxy soundtrack is, surprisingly enough, one of my favorite OSTs of all time. Beautiful and epic music.
I recommend trying to get a hold of the OSTs for Chrono Trigger and the Halo games (minus Halo Wars: that was by someone else). Also, check out OCRemix: they make a lot of really great remixes and orchestrations of game soundtracks. Make sure to get their Chrono Symphonic album: some of the most beautiful orchestrated music you will ever, ever hear.
Your honor, this objection is outrageous. Unless he was objecting to my "Hey, listen!" ringtone. I could understand that one.VinnyKings said:Fuck...Thaius said:I admit that I usually have to download game OSTs, since many of them are impossible to find, but still. I guess you win then...
By the way nice taste in music.
