Poll: Does anyone else hate Twilight?

You know, one without logical members, and with people who have never read other romance novels that are better, other vampire novels which are better, and just plain old other novels that were much better.

Normally, I don't mind anyone liking anything I don't. However, it seems Twilight fans can never come up with an argument other than "but edward's hot" as to why they like the book.

And personally, I don't think taking 3 pages to explain how hot a character looks when he walks in the room is thrilling writing. Maybe it's because I'm not a submissive teenage girl who sincerely wants a sparkling vampire to come sweep her away and impregnate her, and maybe I just don't understand this sort of thing, but I just don't get why anyone would like it.

And I know my taste is different than some people's, but I don't quite understand how this is attractive.

I'd gladly listen and try to understand, but I have yet to find anyone here who thinks it's the work of art that people say it is.

I hate the whole concept of the movie and explained thoroughly to my better half why it's best not to waste money on it. I won the argument and we agreed to rent it instead.

I don't really mind if other people love the movie... just be prepared to be left alone if you start talking about it in a conversation with me.

Thank god, because everywhere I go, everyone loves Twilight, and I was beginning to think I was one of 7 who didn't. Life is still worth living. That is, until Ultimate Gamer goes into a second season getting 5-star review (please god no!)

Seriously, would you guys just give it a rest? Half you people complaining are just as obsessed about Gears of War as the referenced teenage girls are about Twilight. Anybody who enjoys Gears of War has no right to complain about Twilight. This is as much fact as any of your facts for why Twilight is a scourge on humanity.

Look, I haven't read Twilight, and I do hate the obsession over it, but I have never seen an essay on what specifically makes Twilight bad. It's all here-say, so unless someone can offer quotes and analysis as to why it sucks, I am not going to condemn something because some of you feel you can't compete with Edward or whatever the hell his name is.

And even if you DID write an essay, that doesn't give anyone the right to get bitchy over it. Just calm down people and stop wasting so much energy on your stupid hate gang.

anyway look, I haven't read or seen twilight nor do I want to, in fact I'd rather repaint my bedroom wall with my brain BUT I guess I should have a basic understanding before continuing my campaign to see it wiped from the world in a bloody wave, know thine enemy and all that, so people that have read/seen twilight and believe they have an unbiased opinion of it, throw me a PM and give me some info.
