Poll: Does anyone not like this song?

Ok, this came up when my friend and I were driving around in his car. He flicked the radio to a different channel because he knows I'm not one for his hard clubber music, and then Akon/David Guetta's 'Sexy Chick' came on and he said "Yeah I know this is your jam. This is everybody's jam." And then I realised this was really true. I love the song. All my friends love the song. The nerds that sit inside and play pokemon in their breaktime even like this song. I was just wondering if anyone at the Escapist dislikes/has a big objection to it? Also what is the Escapist-people's attitude to songs that are sort of halfway between club music and popular music, like Dizzee Rascal's new stuff?

Yeah...I cannot stand it.
My biggest objection probably comes with the involvement of Akon.
I've hated him for a looong time. With no explainable reason.
Aaaaand there's auto-tune. My ear's enemy.

But if you like it, that's cool.

By the way, you will probably be getting more of these negative responses.
From what I know, the Escapist is populated by many Metal/rock fans.

I think its simply the beat of the song. As it is with all dub-step(two step) beats. Its something to do with the rhythm we as humans operate on that makes us love dub-step. Likes its close to a standard heartbeat or something. seriously just look up dub-step on youtube. i bet everyone will bob their heads to 9/10 of all the songs there regardless of your preferred genre.

I go to the clubs every so often, and I'll admit, it serves its purpose as dance music.

But, just to listen to? No thank you.
Club music should stay there - in the clubs.

It was awful.
This song & the fact that you say everyone you know likes it would demonstrate to me that there is a definite decline in the quality of people's musical tastes these days, were it not for Reverend Horton Heat. They are the one post-millenium band that has managed to consistently produce good music.

While I didn't like the song in the slightest, quality of music is subject to opinion. To be honest I would rather listen to what you consider shit music and enjoy it rather then listen to Classical (I don't know) and not like it
