As someone who doesn't understand my generation's fascination with music like this (I listen predominately to metal...), I was slightly horrified with this song in particular. If anything, I have found the indie music and influences were making (new) popular music less... bad, for lack of a better term.

I maintain the fact that if someone my age will repeatedly say how awesome the Black Eyed Peas are (or Shakira, or Akon), but don't know any of the rock legends (David Bowie, Queen, Zeppelin?), I will completely and utterly lose all respect for their music taste, and occasionally in them as well.
Yes, that is me talking from experience.

It's suppose to be "Sexy *****", not "Sexy Chick" - this song (and "Low") are two songs of the current popular music era that I just can't help but enjoy; the lyrics make me laugh (yeah, they're demeaning, whatever) and the song is just so fucking catchy. I refuse to put it on my iPod, but I certaintly don't mind hearing it every once in a while. So yeah, I'm right with you OP, it's pretty fucking cool.

I hate everything with Akon in it ever.

Also, auto-tune. By god, do I hate auto-tune.
It's like a way for someone with no talent or looks or anything even remotely required to be famous to cheat and suddenly gain more fans than Jesus or Buddha or some other famous person, I dunno.

But if you like it, cool for you, I guess.

I'm on a zeppelin, by the way.
No no, you're on a blimp, and don't forget to shuffle you're f*cking deck.

Also, I hate the song. Auto-tune, Akon, thumpy, empty lyrics, blah. Right now I'm listening to Devil in Disguise from Elvis Presley, I'll stick to that thank you very much.

Help! It's a HIP HOP SONG!

Hip hop all sounds the same. It's not a decent sound either. Just some people talking about shit no-one cares about and making racist comments over a machine, and they call it 'music'??

Its alright. Better than some music these days, and yes it is catchy. I don't mind hearing it every once in a while, but I wouldn't put it in my iPod.

From the beginning I was thinking, "Geez I would sure like it if they focused more on these smoking hot ladies instead of these two guys." And then it became hilarious when they jumped in the pool together while holding hands. They should have made the video more tongue-in-cheek about super best buds who might be a little too friendly.

If you like anything played on radio today then you have failed as a human.
Clearly, you do not live in the UK. We have Radio 2 - any station whose drivetime/evening slot can open with the intro to S Club 7's 'Reach for the stars!" and then abruptly drop into 'Touch me' by the Doors is fine by me. I was fully prepared to hear some shitty 90's pop, and was very pleasantly surprised :)

Radio 1 (the main station) is the usual modern shite parade though if you listen to the right shows you can hear some good stuff. The DJs are all complete twats, though, which can be offputting. I'm looking at YOU, Westwood! You aren't black! You aren't a gangster! Your dad is a vicar!

OT: At work so can't watch the video, but the new Dizzee Rascal stuff really gets on my nerves. I liked some of his earlier stuff, when he talked about more than just girls and money, but now he's the same as most of the other guys out there. And the tunes are terrible - what the fuck was going on with 'Bonkers'?! Sounded like they'd let a chimp mix together a bunch of random noises and called it music.

It's catchy. But don't try to listen to the lyrics..They're just words taken out of a hat.

I don't like it. But, to be fair, it isn't really my taste in music. However, compared to most music nowadays, it was completely tolerable, so I said that I don't mind it.
Whereas, when compared to say, a little band called the Foo Fighters...

Well, nerds wouldn't be playing pokemon, they would be playing Magic. Also, most of the nerds I know (including myself) hate rap/hip-hop and country music. It kinda has to do with personalities and how they choose music genres. Stereotypes are actually pretty accurate when it comes to this kinda thing.

so, short answer: yes
long answer: absolutely HELL YES, many people don't like your silly song.
