Poll: Does anyone not like this song?

That was probably the worst song I have heard for a couple months.

It's like every cliche of bad music decided to congregate into one song and each of them were hung over on the day.

I'd never even heard of this song until I just clicked the link (because I hate the radio) I have to say that that song was annoying, auto-tuned, and repetitive. Everything that I hate about popular music compiled into one great example. So if for nothing else I have to thank you for introducing me to this song so that I can start referencing it when talking about why a song is bad instead of "This is why i'm hot" or "You're a Jerk"

Not that sort of thing I'd listen to on a day-to-day basis (lack of general...goodness?) but if I was in a bar/club and had a few drinks in me then I'd have no issues with it at all.

Plus it's far less abhorrent than anything by a 'Gangtsa' (looking at you Mr Cent)which earns it plus points.

Ok, this came up when my friend and I were driving around in his car. He flicked the radio to a different channel because he knows I'm not one for his hard clubber music, and then Akon/David Guetta's 'Sexy Chick' came on and he said "Yeah I know this is your jam. This is everybody's jam." And then I realised this was really true. I love the song. All my friends love the song. The nerds that sit inside and play pokemon in their breaktime even like this song. I was just wondering if anyone at the Escapist dislikes/has a big objection to it? Also what is the Escapist-people's attitude to songs that are sort of halfway between club music and popular music, like Dizzee Rascal's new stuff?

This is the kind of song that screams mediocrity to me, hot chicks, sure there's a selling point, but little else and I could always just search up porn instead of Akon.

As someone who doesn't understand my generation's fascination with music like this (I listen predominately to metal...), I was slightly horrified with this song in particular. If anything, I have found the indie music and influences were making (new) popular music less... bad, for lack of a better term.

I maintain the fact that if someone my age will repeatedly say how awesome the Black Eyed Peas are (or Shakira, or Akon), but don't know any of the rock legends (David Bowie, Queen, Zeppelin?), I will completely and utterly lose all respect for their music taste, and occasionally in them as well.
Yes, that is me talking from experience.

I am with you on this except depending on the ineptitude towards actual music it can lead to them getting choked.

The song is terrible. What ever happened to not relying completely on synthesizers for music? Or auto-tuner, or reverb, or songs about partying? I'm not into club music in any sense though, I'd rather have music that I can just sit down and listen to, without any outside influence. Music is an art, it should be something that you can enjoy purely by listening to it, not just something that's on in the background. I guess I expect more from my music than "It's got a good beat, and I can dance to it". It'll be a sad day when Tom Waits stops releasing albums.

4.Love

I wouldn't say I hate it.. but I certainly don't like it.
I quite enjoy David Guetta when paired with a good song to dance to, Akon is certainly not to my taste though.
