Poll: Does Anyone on The Escapist Actually Like Lady Gaga? (oh and norman reedus is judas)

So I'm a die hard fan of Boondock Saints and The Walking Dead and when I heard that Norman Reedus was being considered for nominatation ->for a music award ->for being in a Lady Gaga music video (or something) I thought, "What?!"

So I sat through the entire video if just to see what Reedus was doing and I realized that I didn't like that song. The SONG mind you. As in the singing and everything. And the video itself confused the shit out of me; especially the parts at the end. I came to the conculsion after youtubing a couple other of Lady Gaga's music videos that I don't enjoy Lady Gaga music at all. But hey shes "different" and has a horde full of fans so I thought I'd ask you dear readers at The Escapist what your opinions on Lady Gaga are.

What are your opinions on Lady Gaga?

Or Norman Reedus for that matter.

I don't mind her actually. When you look at the rest of what was popular in Music for the past decade, and then you listen to her stuff, it's much better in comparison.

That being said, it's still isn't as good as where we were in the 90's.

I think she's boring. Her crazy, attention seeking persona has already been done by a million other female pop stars, and it's just obvious and...Yeah, boring. Plus, her songs have some of the most brain dead lyrics I've ever heard. And don't tell me there's some secret deep meaning, because I will call bullshit. In fact, I'll just do it preemptively: BULLSHIT.

Like all singers, some of her songs tend to be rather rubbish...it doesn't help that she bases her image of being pointlessly weird.

OTOH, IMHO, some of her stuff is quite catchy. Also, she has better conspiracy theories about her than most.

Her outfits...generally not so much.

I like Gaga. She makes great dance music. This is coming from a guy who usually sticks to his core groupings of metal, prog, reggae, and old early/ mid- nineties ska. I cant not like Gaga. In a room full of xerox popstars, she came original. Much respect

Like all musicians there is a time and a place for GaGa. Her latest album was entirely rubbish except for a song or two, but I think her appeal (at least to me) is her 'bad girl' facade. All in all I don't mind her music but she wouldn't make it onto my iPod.

I like her music, but I don't like this specific song. It's the "Judas, Judas, Judas, Gaga" part. Whenever I hear it, it's like nails on a chalkboard.

Also, Norman Reedus should be in more movies.

I'm sure some people do, and I'm positive others don't ^^ Thank the Emperor for the ability to think freely, on that note, no, I do not like Lady Gaga, I personally believe she is too... overzealous, to take seriously as a person (she might be better in real life), and I dislike her music. While I understand my opinion is completely subjective, NO, I do not like her as an artist, and can not stand her public persona.

Thats what I think of her. Rediculous attention whore. People say there are worse people out there, but she's doing it for the attention, whether she'll admit it or not, and that sickens me.

Same here. I'm first and foremost a metalhead, but dammit the girl can sing and the songs are catchy.

Gaga used to get on my nerves, but she's grown on me a lot since then. I like some of her catchier songs, like Bad Romance and Paparazzi, but stuff like bloody Judas is just downright annoying. (Joo DAA joo DAH AH AAAASSS...) The inherent attention-whore-ness of her irritates me too -- "eccentric" characteristics, bullshit symbolism, meat dresses, etc. -- but hey, she's just a popstar. And girl can really sing if you've ever seen some of the live performances that haven't been beaten with the autotune stick.

I do think she's rather talented. I mean, compared to artists like Katy Perry or Rihanna who's songs you don't even remember when you're trying to Lady Gaga is really pretty good.
