Hmmm, I kinda feel like I have answered a question like this here before...Oh well.

I really don't fear death by itself, as I see it as inevitable. It may be a bit comforting to know there is something certain in your life. It will come to you in the end. Though, I'm a bit conserned, maybe afraid of how I will die. Even more if it includes great pain, or a crippling disease. So I suppose I fear dying...

Funny thing is that I believe strongly in an afterlife. Though I wouldn't really call it that, I...believe there is something after this physical body eventually dies. I'm quite interested in seeing what is beyond "death". So the unknown zone after death doesn't scare me.

Death scares me because I know if there is, in fact, a Hell, I'll be spending the rest of eternity there. Plus, you know, I wouldn't be able to live anymore.

I am not scared of death... More curious, as that will be the time I find out whether God/Satan exist or not. It will be a bummer if they do. (Not Christian btw)

Btw I'm clicked on scared of pain because who isn't I mean pain hurts.

I don't fear death, as I believe that there must be something on the other side.

I more fear being forgotten when I die

[sup]Plus I'll regenerate so there is no problem for me[/sup]

To the people that are saying "anyone who says they dont fear death are liars" I think they need to remember alot of us are making the distinction between death and dying. Death itself either holds immense fear (for those who cant bear the thought of eternal nothingness or eternal damnation) or very little (for those that take the stance of "how can I be scared when I know i'm going to a better place/not going to feel anything).

I'm pretty sure EVERYONE has a primal fear of dying though, either through not knowing when or how it's going to happen, the effects it might have on their family and friends or not having accomplished their life goals before it happens.

Yes they are obviously very closely related, but entirely different at the same time.

We all gotta die someday.

Anywho, when I finally do meet death, I'm going to laugh in his face and tell him I slept with his sister.

Frankly, I don't fear death. I do fear the way I'll die.

You slept with a skeleton? How did you actually...do it?

Oh, she wasn't a skeleton for it. Death and his family have many appearances, and his sister looked very human that night.

She looked very human at night? Sir, do you realize you just fucked a rotting skeleton and are probably caring a deadly disease?

When you look into a mirror for a long time you see death doing its work. The point is that its best not to reflect upon it.

Come so close to it a few times now in the past so now it doesn't bother me in the slightest.
The part that does bother me is not seeing my kids grow up and becoming a grandfather ect ect.

The death of people I love scares me, but not my own.

I just feel it's something that has to happen to me eventually - the way it happens doesn't bother me much.
You pretty much summed it up for me.
Except I fucking hate pain. I can't think of anything else I'm actually afraid of. (for myself)
Sure, I can take it if I have to, but I still hate it.
Especially sharp weapons are my worst enemies.
Getting shanked in the gut... *shudders*
Although getting shot in the head doesn't sound so bad. You die before you can feel anything, and even better, there aren't many stuff in your brain to feel pain, so it is kinda preferrable.
Edit: Hey, I just remembered my favourite greeting just now:
Die quickly.

I've found I've become increasingly more "scared" of death after I got pregnant.

Anyone who can view it as "you're born, you die" is cold indeed.
Cold for being realistic?

Heh, weird.

I can say that i don't dread the prospect of my own mortality.

but then again, who knows how one will react when faced with something they've never experienced?

I put yes, but only because I have a powerful regret that forms unease within me.

Pain doesn't bother me, numbness is worse. I don't think I'm going to suffer any retribution, since I don't believe in the afterlife. I also realize that death is coming for me, and I actually find comfort in the thought, probably because I don't fancy being alive too much.

However, the one thing I'm going to hate losing is watching. I like playing games and reading books because they place me in the role of an outside force. Even when I control the character, I feel more like it's just helping me to understand them. I do the same thing in the real world. I don't like doing anything, I just want to see it all happen. I despise death because, when she comes for me, I won't be able to see what happens to the rest of this species. I'm only alive because I want to see as much of this story as I can before I must go.

I fear death and pain. I don't want to die, I wanna live forever. I don't think you can really appreciate life until your on deaths door and by then it's too late. Alot of people I know at college say things like 'Oh im not scared of death'. Those people obviously have not experienced enough death in their lives. I wonder if its a good thing to be scared of death?

Death itself doesn't scare me, but the way I'll die does. I'd hate to be in a plane crash, where I get jammed into the front seat and my skeleton just shatters... yuck.
