Do you find it annoying when girls fawn over a fictional vampire? Now imagine that all over the media not just one overly popular series. Tons games starring sexy vampires that sparkle. Ok I think I made myself sick with that one. You can tolerate it but you still hate it.

it bothers me very little. i read reviews before i judge the box art. if the reviews say its good, i get it anyway, regardless of what is on the cover.

To a point.
But I don't really understand it. If I wanted porn, I sure a hell wouldn't be buying it.

On the other hand, the success of the Tomb Raider franchise speaks volumes about what a vast number of people think about boobs in games...
What does the success of God of War speak of what people think about sweaty, muscular, bearded, bald men who whip people with chains?

It may help sales in general, but it really isn't a major selling point for me.
Id disagree alot of game sales are still by younger audiences 11-17 with parents buying games for children and i think most would be put off buying a game with a half naked woman on the cover.

No, it really doesn't.

I don't think a single person in the world would want to buy a game just because of "OMG BOOBIES ON TEH COVER", and anyone who thinks that kind of garbage sells is an idiot.

The difference is that they men don't want to have sex with Kratos, they want to BE Kratos. Another method of selling games is including Preposterone (Preposterous amounts of Testosterone) in the game. Granted, God of War has both Preposterone and Boobs, so it's a Win-Win situation, so to speak... ;)

it depends on the game

I have one anime dvd that has women with huge boobs and in tiny bikinis and I feel really embarrass having it because it makes me feel like a perv.

No, please spare the English language and learn grammer, it did nothing to harm you. Show some mercy damnit.

*clears throat* Sorry I'm quite attatched to good grammer "n" he doesn't cut it.

OT: I really don't care or look for asthetics or naked women when I buy a game. If there is one on the cover of a good game then I don't care, if the game is already bad then I won't buy it because it's bad, not because there are naked women on it.

Spelling out 'LoL' in this way fell out of style in early 2001.

Anyhoo,

I am having trouble thinking of an anime i've seen that doesn't have women with huge boobs in tiny bikinis.

Why would I buy a game just to get see female exploitation? It would be a waste of my internet and would probably have clipping issues. It probably does increase sales, though, because if a game includes naughty bits that raises a bit more plublicity and middle schoolers who shouldn't be playing it would be convincing thier friends into buying it.

It would actually -decrease- my chances of buying it, because it'd probably be something like this:

One of these things is not like the other.
The thong on the Xbox is almost nonexistent
*Oh and I play games before buying them.

like i said earlier, evony is a good example of this. being a web only game, most people c the ads n check out the game based on the internet ads. evony's ads started normal, then became increasingly racy until finally the ads were just a pair of breasts. a summary of this can b found at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evony.
