I for one am quite excited about the release of Ninja Gaiden 3 as the series has been one of my favourites for a few years now.
After finding a review on inentertainment I was rather shocked at how many people are choosing to boycott this game due to the fact that there is no dismemberment.
I'll admit there are a few concerns I have with this game
- Only one weapon
- Upgrades are dependant on story progression as opposed to paying for them with the games currency
- Apparently no demonic enemies
- Downgraded difficulty
But side from the above NG3 looks like its going to be awesome!
After reading some of the comments like "Terrible news, the weapons issue is
Minor compared to no gore. Ill spend my money on something else"
and "no gore? no sale". I'm puzzled as to what the fascination is with watching your opponent scream when their arm flies off and their blood spews across the floor.
Ninja Gaiden has always been about the challenge, blood and gore ran a sad and sorry last to the myriad of weapons, crazy combos, getting your ass handed to you a million times and the awesome ninja acrobatics.
So my question is
Does gore make a game good?
Oh and no mean comments, if someone says they don't like gore in their games don't give them a hard time.
