I firmly believe that there is not a god. At least not in the way we think of gods. Some of Lovecraft's work revolves around the idea that there are gods, but we don't matter to them. Something I agree with if there were great omnipotent beings why would they care about us. Now I do not believe in gods or a heaven.

However I will say that there are things in this world we can't understand, that we're not meant to understand. I do believe that there is something beyond the world we can touch, smell, and see. I do believe that some people carry own after death. I've never personally (thank goodness) had firsthand accounts of such things. But while I don't believe in a heaven I believe that there is something besides just out base material world.

So my choices are complete possession of the powers of creation and not just the opportunity but the near demand that I do whatever I want with them or ethereal nothingness?

Well the obvious answer (assuming you're a good person) is #1.
Is it now? Is creation for the sake of creation a good thing?
Seems more like creation for the sake of dicking around the way he said it...

I'm honestly down with reincarnation the more I think about it.

I feel that eternity in heaven or what have you would get stale (unless it is actually the perfect paradise then the "Bored" emotion inside me would die and everything would be amazing), and evaporating into nothing seems like such a dull way to end it all.

I misread, I didn't realize we had a choice in the matter.
Now that I've read it properly I choose answer one.
