[sub]I personally think it all boils down to people's deep-seated insecurities about their beliefs and choices and the questioning tends to rub them up the wrong way and they interpret it as a personal attack and it goes downhill from there and they flame and it's bad, m'kay?

But seriously, if you make a good argument you can at least get your opinions across to another person - even if they don't agree with you, they'll still understand your reasoning. Proper argument is very informative and is, hence, A Good Thing.

Does it matter, yes and no. Most of the time agruing on the web is futile, but it is fun. I like to argue with people about important things, like who would win in a fight, Alien or a Bear. THE BEAR WOULD WIN!!!
