depends on the music, how its played and where

if i can hear it via their ear phones im not too bothered, i can kinda make it out from someones room or car, its also cool.

but it does annoy me when ppl are on the bus and use their phone to play their music out load, it just seems like im being forced into listing to music i don't want to listen to

Of course it does, it annoy's everyone and I'm one of the very very few people that have the courage to ask them to turn it down a bit. It's usually when they are on the train or bus they think it's a good idea, and I always find them doing it really early in the morning or right after work times, you know when people especially don't want to hear it.

Another thing is it's always hip hop or some screamo music I've never heard of before, don't these people learn any common sense & common decency, they should know that is the most irritating music out of them all. And the worst part is it's always some big fellow with tattoo's covering some parts of his body that make him look threatening, I haven't recieved a 'no' yet but one day I feel I will.

I really can't stand hip hop and rap, especially the string of profanities, racial slurs, and violence against women type. Sadly, the people that usually listen to this kind of crap are the center of attention grabbing assholes who buy a massive speaker system simply to show off.

Although I would be impressed if someone was blaring something I actually listen to, because headbanging to Beethoven would be hilarious.

Not true- I blast 'N Sync on a regular basis. Also some local popish bands. And Ska. Hella Ska Music. And Diddy Kong Racing music.

And I love that bass that shakes my car.

No, because it is of my personal opinion that the only good way the listen to music is for it to be loud, so you can hear every chord, every beat, every lyric clear as purified water.

I usually don't hear it because I'm too busy doing to myself. Of course, I have headphones, so people around me don't hear it as much, but my Ipod is usually on full blast.

Just because you like that shit enough to lose your hearing, doesn't mean I do.

I don't ever hear anyone playing easy-listening or pop music, which gives me the impression people who do this are a bunch of attention seekers who're desperate for everyone to know what music they listen to like some sort of pride festival.

Am I the only one frustrated by this?
Haha...I was driving around blasting some Iron & Wine and some guys in a Camaro with a flowmaster (those things that make that godawful noise) pulled up next to me and were like what the hell is this cat jamming to?

I think this was the song...

I'm more annoyed by people singing in public. Mainly because they steal my spotlight the majority of the population can't sing for shit

It irritates me no end.

My friend's dad epic won once, though.

Some guy was blasting loud music in their car, and he shouted "TURN THAT SHIT OFF, WE DON'T WANT TO LISTEN TO YOUR FUCKING MUSIC!"

I despise it. Even if they're playing a song I like, I feel it's just rude. They don't know I LIKE that song, stop playing it so very loudly. Why are you doing this? Why?! I don't want to hear.

Yes. Especially when they play it through their headphone loud enough that everyone on the [emphasis] BUS [/emphasis] can hear it.

iPod ear buds suck ass. They just do. They leak so badly that you might as well not wear them. That being said, the people who are going deaf as a result of having the music on full through those pieces of shit are at least better than the assholes who don't bother with buds or headphones at all. Newer iPods don't require them because they have some sort of speaker system. OOH! And the people who have the buds, have one in, one out, and the music blasting. Like, really? Is that necessary? It makes you an even bigger jackass because you're aware of how pointless it is and how annoying and ignorant you're being.

I only really hate loud music if one of the following three conditions are met:

1) It is hip-hop or rap

2) It has no detectable bass rhythm

3) The guy's stereo makes the ground vibrate

Not really. If you can hear someones music, yours isn't loud enough. And that is the rule.
