I think we should agree to stop trying to nail it down. Some little straight tomboys will love her and if some young questioning gay girl wants to think she's gay, then better for her too.Coldster said:Ahem, here thee here thee! All persons believing that Rainbow Dash is a lesbian is hereby decreed WRONG by (her majesty) Lauren Faust herself:
"Rainbow Dash has rainbow-striped hair because of her name and because she is very interested in sports, specifically flying. She is a tomboy, but nowhere in the show is her sexual orientation ever referenced. As we all know, there are plenty of straight tomboys in the world, and assuming they are lesbians is extremely unfair to both straight and lesbian tomboys."

Note that she doesn't say Rainbow Dash's sexual orientation (and really, does it matter?), simply that no one should assume she is automatically a lesbian. Just because the female to male ratio in Equestria is 9:1, that doesn't mean every mare is a lesbian. So I advise this little tip to live by: Rainbow Dash is not a lesbian unless it aids the joke, story, or Shipping thread. Can we all just agree on this? Please?
EDIT: fixed
Psh, bringing rational thought into a discussion about sexuality of characters who've given no indication one way or the other because it doesn't matter...Kalezian said:But this is a show.
A cartoon.
About Ponies.
Aimed at a target audience of 8-14 year old girls.
Has anyone ever though that maybe, just maybe.... that girls aged 8-14 think rainbows are pretty?
Because, politics is boring. The war in the middle east is just something were going to have to accept. If global warming is real were fucked anyways. The economy? That shit so sad its not even worth discussing. Morality, philosophy, art, or literature has already been done.Greatjusticeman said:Why is it that some of you are debating on whether or not a character that is from a TV show intended for girls under the age of 10 is a lesbian or not.
I mean, come on....what the fuck?
Oh yeah, I keep forgetting about that Blueblood guy. You can tell how much of an impression he made on me.Coldster said:To be honest I can see them all being pan-sexual because of the female to male ratio. However Rarity would seem the least likely because of her love for stallions such as Prince Blueblood. Fluttershy is almost impossible to tell because she could just be a socially awkward mare that might burst with love if she just meets the pony of her dreams. IMO of course.chowderface said:This. Me, I'd peg Rarity or Fluttershy as a lesbian.Coldster said:Ahem, here thee here thee! All persons believing that is a lesbian is hereby decreed WRONG by (her majesty) Lauren Faust herself:

Actually, I'd only peg Rarity as a lesbian. Fluttershy I kind of read as being asexual.
