Yeah, as a comedy fan, I'm mainly offended that he's not funny, and not particularly good musically, two things useful if you're trying to make musical comedy.
It did feel like he was just putting on a wig and glasses then naming some games over a loop of techno, and while that's enough to sell millions of copies of your CD to chavs if you put enough bass in it, it doesn't feel creative enough.
If you look at Tim Minchin, Bill Bailey, Wierd Al, they're all good enough to be successful musicians in their own right, AND they have the skill to be great comedians, its a shame musical comedy is so often seen as comedy's ginger stepson.
