Should Xenosaga be continued? My opinion is yes, i want to know what happened to humanity and Kosy, This was an epic game no one gave any mind to, it was unique in the era of Madden and Halo sequels that Bungie and EA were shelling out, but it still didnt get the time of day, to those who played it, do you want to see how it all REALLY ended?

I'm split on the issue so I didn't vote, Xenosaga 3 was an EXCELLENT game, but was that excellence born of desperation? If there is the will to make another game as good as it I would welcome a sequel, but I felt Xenosaga 3 ended quite well and that a sequel isn't really necessary. Also, one of the things I loved about Xenosaga 3 was that it was the best parts of what I'm sure were three games all crammed into one 40 hour package out of desperation and a need to finish the story, I don't think a sequel would have the breakneck pacing and the awesomness of 3 End Boss Quality Boss Fights.

oh. does this fall into the JRPG category of games? like a a poor man's Final Fantasy?
It depends, it has some gritty storyline (Albedo blowing off his own head and regenerateing it) and such, but I do believe the only things "Yahtzee" would find bad about it is the fact its nearly cutscene after cutscene, but then again, he loves games with absolutely peerless storytelling, so he might only damn the combat and the fact that the first one is sorta a Jrpg, but the 2nd and 3rd games look realistic, then again, the 1st one was semi realistic as its set in the future, the characters dont weild swords bigger than their bodies, they dont have huge spiky hair. The only anime thing about it is that Kos-Mos has Blue hair but then again, she's a robot.

Probably would, it was rumored for a LONG time (and its sorta reflected in 3) that part 4, 5 and 6 were going to be a complete retelling of Xenogears (4 and 5 at least) and 6 was going to end the entire storyline, My theory was that They traveled so long, the old crew died and their decendents were left, and they built the Deus weapon and they then found Kos-mos and used her technology to create the control system for Deus, and it ended up changing kos-mos entirely into the persona Miang, and The soul of Mary became the wish of the child on the ship that finds the zohar, and since they died, it ressurected the child in the form of Abel(Udo) and Mary in the form of Adult Nephilem (Elly) and thus, the story of Xenogears begins. I do believe it will be epic and such, but it will be slow paced in 4 then 5 would be Xenogears updated, and 6 would end it all.

.hack had 4 games the first time, and 3 the 2nd time, Metal Gear had 7 games to tell its entire story, its not uncommon for a game to tell a story so epic that it needs multible games to express it.

I think they should just release the last three games as an OVA or movie.
Possible, but then again, half the fun of the games was playing out the fights in normal characters and giant robot fights

Fair enough, but for MG the first two games were tenuously connected to MGS and I wound't call them the same story personally but I can understand putting them togeather, and one of them is a non-canon game.

.Hack... well hack can eat my ass with a spoon. (I dont like it much)

the games go like this, and they ARE canon to the story, Metal Gear Solid 3, Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops (its mentioned in Metal Gear Solid 4, so it is canon) Metal Gear (Outer Heaven is referenced many MANY Times) Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake (again, Zanzibar Land was mentioned time and time again) Metal Gear Solid 2, Metal Gear Solid 4, there 7 games

again, order is

1. Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
2. Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops
3. Metal Gear
4. Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake
5. Metal Gear Solid
6. Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty
7. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots

They found a way to refer to the NES metal gear games in the new games. They were never designed to be middle chapters in an epic story. Don't be silly. As such, the connection is tenuous.

Xenogears was amazing. As much as I would like a sequel the story doesn't leave one unless they take a hatchet to it and that would destroy probably the best storyline in a game ever.

Xenosaga is only a "spiritual successor" to Xenogears. Despite a few cameos and mentions the stories are actually not ment to entertwine at all because A different company has the rights to Xenogears.
