I don't pay much attention to reviews in general, and I don't really consider Yahtzee to be a reviewer anyway, since reviews are supposed to be neutral and that's one thing he's most definitely not.

I watch his "reviews" because they're funny, not because they influence my decision.

He's a funny guy that hits some good points but also takes it too far at times. All for the sake of comedy.

So no, he doesn't.

Erm, not a full influence no. If theres a game i really want and he knocks it heavily, ill still go get it. Its more about the games im not sure about. He can influence those decisions yes. Im being honest because in your question your making people lean to the ''no'' side of the answer, because in poll 101 class, your taught not to have an opinion in a question. In basics, you asked "I think its stupid if people listen to his rants seriously. Do you?'' Which would mean 99% of the people answering will lean, subconsiously or consiously towards no.

Fuck no! He hates every game ever created except Silent Hill 2. I could probably get better gaming purchase advice from Adolf Hitler..

Yes. His words are the wisdom of the gods, carried down to us from the heavens on firey chariots, and finally landing in his bile-filled soul to orate to us, the unknowing. To turn away from this would be the same as to spit on the face of your god(s)(dess[es]). If you're atheist it might be a little tricky to perform such a feat, but you get stuck in the anti-paradise that ALL the other religions believe in at the same time anyway, Even the fake ones, so we'll let it slide.

And that's how you sew a quilt.

Seriously? I'd suggest finding a new way to phase your sentences love because the tone you are using is reminding me of a certain someone >_>

I do like Zero Punctuation. It is nice to have someone look at a game like it is shit with all the adds telling us it is gold. I tend to trust his word on a game because we tend to expect the same things. I wouldn't say he would make me buy a game but when I found Phyconauts for $12 in an EB games pre-owned bin I feel I was persuaded a little bit.

That said I do like J-RPG's so I don't think I would trust him much on those.

No, he's a satirist.
pretty much covers it. Yahtzee, AVGN, TGWTG etc. These people try to entertain, moreso than inform. Hating stuff is their shtick, not always how they actually feel.

so no, I don't let their reviews affect what I buy.

Only if he says it's good, and that is still a definite MAYBE that I will buy it, but probably not. If a game is so good that he liked it then Iv'e probably played it already.

I agree with some of his opinions and some of them I disagree with, but I mainly watch because it's one of the few things that still make me laugh out loud every time without fail. I mean, he didn't mention some of the biggest wanky flaws with Alone in the Dark and RE5 even though he's the biggest hatchet reviewer out there, so I normally get opinions from people I know and trust, and that affects my purchases EXCEPT for Black Ops. All my friends love it, but the cartoony graphics are annoying and honestly it's like they're not even trying with the campaign anymore because the multiplayer side of COD is taking over the world. The first 3 levels are great but then it's just random shit and levels that don't flow at all... the endings just pop up out of nowhere. I'm about to watch his review of that and see if he agrees. I hope to god that MW3 has a decent campaign.

Not really no I mean he didn't like alpaha protocol but I picked it up and enjoyed it a lot, but then again I expected him to be wrong about ff13 and by the gods was he right I bought that game and it was torture to play it, and this is coming from someone who on average clock's up 50+ hours on the other FF games particularly 9,10 and 12.

Why do reviewers need to be neutral?

Do people really take him seriously? I mean, I love Zero Punctuation, but to actually buy games based on his review, youd only end up with about three, and two will be for the SNES. Also, to make your decisions based entirely on what someone else says... Let's just say INGSOC loves those kinds of sheeple. (Cookie for reference)
