I have friends who constantly play Medic and Heavy together of TF2 where the boyfriend is always the Medic, and the girlfriend the Heavy. I know that some couples do play together a lot in games like TF2 or WoW, but than others play games separately mostly.

I don't have a girlfriend and I only know of this one couple who do this, so I couldn't say whether it would be common or not.

My girlfriend has a hard time with 3D controls, but we play 2d stuff on occasion. We just finished Limbo and she loved it.
I´m very proud.

my girlfriend isn't much of a gamer really, she'll play casually and she's interested in gaming in general, she just isn't very good xD

she's pretty content watching me play, or doing co-op mode on something not too complicated (house of the dead etc)

Myself and her play WoW together. We played through Gears 1 and 2 together, and we'll watch each other play single player games too.

Nope.
If I had a girlfriend, she'd probably interested in games.

Perhaps if I use genetic engineering I can produce a catgirl gamer glasses-wearing bride for myself.

On second thought, that sounds really goddamn creepy.
Let's forget I wrote that.

Yeah my girlfriend got me into Counter Strike: Source. She beat my ass around the maps a few times too, much to my dismay.

She hates WoW and doesn't like MMOs in general which sucks =/ but any adventure/puzzle adventure/shooting games i get that have a multiplayer shes always happy to play with me. Its quite cool, always gives us something to do.

Lately we've been drawn into sonic and mario: winter olympics, as bad as it is it's horribly addictive.

In before that obvious sex joke.

My last girlfriend, not so much video games but we did have board and card games she got into. Namely Settlers of Catan and Zombies!!!
But I did get my roommate's girlfriend to play a lot of LittleBigPlanet. We would get back from classes and find her on the couch every now and then playing it when no one else was in the apartment.

Me and my girlfriend play Mario games on the the wii, Smash Bros and she also loves LittleBigPlanet.

I got her to play through Heavy Rain and she absolutely loved it. She enjoyed watching me play Dragon Age as well so hopefully I can get her involved in the sequel.

MY girlfriend isn't much of a gamer actually. She does like Crazy Machines on the DS though, and Donkey Conga. She played a few of the Lego games, too.

I didn't know you meant video games at first. Did you do that on purpose..? At first I thought your friends play some weird TF2 roleplay >_>

My girlfriend and I hardly play games together. She only has a Wii, her first console, and no games on the PC, so she's a total video game noob. We play a bit of N64 together, though, and she really liked Audiosurf.

What sucks is that she gets motion sickness. Also, she doesn't really understand how to move in video games since most video games just assume you know how. That's a pretty big barrier to entry.

My fiance and I tend to prefer single player games, but we do play anything co-op friendly like Gears of War, Halo, 'Splosion Man and the like. I can't wait to play Ms. 'Splosion Man with him.

I tried to play C&C with him but he completely outmatched me and I got a bit annoyed after the sixth time and haven't played an RTS against him since. Bawwww. That's okay though, because he won't play against me in any sort of fighter for the same reason. 8D

My partner's a bigger gamer than I am. We regularly wreck people's shit in Gears of War 2's online. We also work pretty well together on the survival mode of that game.

Almost any game I have, he has too, so we're always online together. We regularly team up as a Heavy/Sniper combination on TF2. He lures enemies out as a Heavy, I pick them off as the Sniper. Good times are had by all...except the people now breathing through the freshly created orifice in their forehead.

And we're eagerly awaiting Mortal Kombat's release so we can wreck people's shit in tag-team online modes.

My girlfriend doesn't like many new generation video games, but can frankly beat the stuffing out of me in any multiplayer game on the N64. It is enjoyable, but quite embarrassing at times.

Don't have a partner, had a really short "relationship" and I met her at a friends party (me and her are 6 days apart so we celebrated out birthdays together and so we also met some of our, not common friends) and there was this chick playing Lego Indiana Jones. I sat next to her and she had trouble with a puzzle so I asked if I could grab a controller and jump in, I had never played the game, we figured it out together and she started being more with us and then we had a small thing and then it was over.

haha well without a steady partner(and haven't for a couple years now) I wouldn't understand that dynamic. I can say some girls who come to visit like games, in some cases more than I do. Usually when I have someone spending the night it's not to play games with controllers. Geometry wars is a popular one.

Back in my Guild Wars days, the leader of the guild I was in was married to one of the officers. I swear, they were pretty much ALWAYS online.
