Schmeh, wasn't good, wasn't bad. I personally do not think it deserves all the hype it gets. It is a watchable movie but as far as plots go I think the movies Memento, Rage, and Brick are far superior.

The directors cut is fantastic, If you wanna watch it, that's the only way to go...
I agree with fluffybacon. The directors cut makes a whole lot more sense and removes some of the cheesy aspects from the original i.e. The hand on the end of Donnie's chest-worm-hole-thing.

Love this film ^_^

"They found faeces all over the boys' bathroom"
"What's faeces?"
"Baby mice"
"awwwww!"

The film is sort of like Jimmy Hendrix. You think it's/he is amazing in high school, but soon realize that there are better films/guitarists out there once you expand your tastes a bit.

I really liked it.

Plots with time travel themes can be very hit-or-miss and the majority of my friends hated it. I've not seen the sequel, 'Darko' but I'm not really interested tbh. If the OP says he couldn't sit through the whole thing then that's good enough for me.

I guess a lot of the hate for the original comes from 'hype-aversion'. It's kind of a 'cult' film and people like to big them up. This can lead to a 'All that hype for this!?' kind of reaction.

How does one exactly suck a fuck?

I love that movie, and none of you will ever be able to change my mind.
I love both of those quotes. xD Along with the follow-up of "Why are you wearing that stupid man suit?" to the first one.

The quote of "No, I don't think about fucking my family. That's gross" (or something like that) makes me laugh too. Just the way he says it, though that entire scene is funny to me. An awkward time to be woken up. -laugh-
Of course possibly the greatest quote from that movie.
'I am seriously starting to doubt your commitment to Sparkle Motion!!''
But you are forgetting the best quote from that film...

"I'll tell you what he said. He told me to forcibly insert the lifeline exercise card into my anus!"

Classic...

Anyone confused with the plot should zip here for a quick analysis:

I found that extremely amusing for some reason, even though I didn't find it all that funny. xD

There is an entertaining quality in Tim Minchin that I just don't get. Not every one of his songs is a comedy hit, but they're always entertaining to listen to and watch.

I enjoyed watching it, and once I'd read up on the director's idea of what was going on I liked it even more. I do wish the movie had been written a little better. Perhaps I'm slow on the uptake and what was really going on was obvious to everyone else, but it seems like you've failed on some level of storytelling when I have to read the IMDB FAQ for your movie to understand what you thought you were stating clearly.

...but that's all I have to complain about. It really worked for me.
