I'd choose Twilight, and if any of you had actually read Dracula, you would too. Psst it kinda sucks.

But Bram stoker was actually rich in his time so I'll take Dracula over Twilight. So yeah the fame and money doesn't really win it for Twilight since old Bram had both as well as being very influential. He did write more than Dracula and was not just a novelist he also helped manage a theatre. Even at just writing he has about 10 novels and 3 short stories I think. Yes Dracula was not a hit with the common reader at the time it was still very critically acclaimed. I would rather have Sir Arthur Conan Doyle personally write me a letter telling me he enjoyed my piece rather than write Twilight.
It was more to use the comparison between two vampire novels. The real question is 'would you rather have no acclaim or money from your work while alive, but a lasting impact after your death, or would you choose the money and fame while alive, but only on the condition that it's a vapid piece of pulp filler?

Ok well that is fair enough and I understand that now but I was just pointing out that it was acclaimed while it was originally released. So I did not really understand the comparison on the fame side of things.

Dracula over Twilight any day.
While, yes the money would be good from something like Twilight, I'd rather have a timeless work of art then a one off shot that'll be upstaged by the next teenage fad.

Fame and glory wouldn't mean that much to me if I didn't exist anymore.
So Twilight all the way, as that would make me filthy rich.

I'd probably choose Dracula too (Yeah, real original huh?)
I'd prefer to leave some kind of change in the world and have everybody refer to my name as a genius in literary writing many decades after my death instead of being famous for like 10 years and having everybody curse my name as the bastard who killed off vampires.

Woah, you sound like a die hard fan. Awesome! Is it an actual picture of it that you bought by the way? Because I'd love it on my wall. I love John Ajvide Lindqvist, i'm guessing you've read his books?
It's an actual picture, which was done by the guy who did the front cover for Little White Lies. I think they only sold about 50 of them in total; it cost £50 too.

I've only read Let the Right One In and Handling the Undead. I thought the latter was a bit weak to be honest. LTROI was the only one to hook me and I obsessed over the movie for months on end after I'd seen it. :)

Yeah the book is the best of his books so far I think but Handling The Undead and Harbour are still pretty awesome, I can't wait for Little Star to be released in english. I was obsessed with the film too and still am to a lesser degree. :D
