Fan. It's a good game. It would have been a great game were it not so rushed. It does raise some concerns regarding where Bioware is headed, but taken on its own it's still a damn good RPG.
As for the implications to Bioware, they are not pleasant. I defended most of the changes they did in Mass Effect 2, but wasn't completely on board with some of them. However, a lot of the underlying design in Dragon Age 2 is flawed (combat based on respawning hordes, inexcuseable recycling of environments, etc.). Considering that DA2 had the engine ready and reused a lot of the Origins resources and STILL managed to feel like a rush job supports the theory of a decline in quality at Bioware. If this is due to pressure from EA to put out more games or due to resources being shifted towards TOR or some other reason, it is quite disturbing.
I'm waiting for ME3 before passing judgement, but if ME3 also turns out to be a rushed game of inferior quality to what we've come to expect from Bioware, I'll be thoroughly disappointed. It'll be a sad day when one of the few development studios with consistantly good writing and plots is reduced to putting out half arsed products. I hope I'm wrong and that ME3 (and subsequent games) prove me wrong...
