Okay so with the demo out which gaming setup, Consoles or PC, is better for the style of play in Dragon Age 2. I've only played the PC demo so far, since PSN is taking its sweet time to download that version. I've enjoyed what I've seen especially the new, to Dragon Age, dialog wheel.
So fellow Escapists, which way will you be playing the Champion of Dragon Age 2? Will you pick up the controller or will you use the keyboard and mouse?

PC will almost undoubtedly be the better version, but i don't have a PC powerful enough to run it, or powerful enough to run any new games, so I'll be playing it on the 360.

Going console this time around. I went PC with the Mass Effect series but I think Dragon Age can work quite well on the console. Granted Origins didn't but that game had a lot of problems. From what I've played of 2 it's a lot more console friendly and I don't need to worry about aiming a crosshair so I have no specific reason to want it on PC.

PC's gonna have the best version, but I'm going with the PS3 version. Since that's the one I have Awakening on. And Anders is in that and DA2...so...yeah.

I personally haven't decided yet, but for what it's worth I've played the demo on the 360 and it controls far better on the console than it's predecessor ever did. Just keep that in mind.

The demo is out? I'll have to check it out. I felt that DA:O fell flat on it's face but I played it on PS3 and my biggest problem would have to be what felt like very sloppy combat. I think that unless they did a major overhaul, PC is easily the way to go for this game.

*captcha: brahma unitess... lol!!!! Fallout reference?

There IS a huge combat overhaul. Plays a lot like a hack and slash now. Works very well for console.

Me thinks that it would appear best on PC
But I think they're still going to do a good job on the consoles, I hope so anyway cause I'm getting it for the PS3

I've only played it on the 360, and I don't have a PC rig strong enough to run it. However, the combat worked really well for me on the demo.

So yeah, 360 for me

Well, I've played both the 360 and PC demos, and I can safely say this. Both are awesome, but the PC version is more like a more fast-paced version of Origins, while the console version is just completely different, and just a lot more action-based. Even on medium settings (why can't we set it to high, dammit?!) it looked fantastic on my rather modest machine, but I honestly just preferred the control setup (and the ability to play from my couch and on a big-screen TV...) that the console version offered. I'll be getting it on 360 first, then maybe the ultimate edition on PC when it comes out.

Oh, and I saw the ps3 version today at a friends house, no noticeable difference between that and the 360 one.

I'm getting it on PS3, as my DA:O and Awakening save files are on there, and my computer can't run it anyways.

PC definetly

that said though can anyone tell exactally what the differences are in regards to the console version being more action orientated? like do you induvidlly hit the button for each attack?

because to be honest hitting the heal button over and over hopinng not to die was not really my thing
