I'm going to play it on the correct platform.
Do you really have to get snobbish about this? Really?
I think he was just being a smartass, not a snob. It's well known by now that Dragon Age (the first one at least) was designed primarily as a PC game. Honestly, I still have trouble comprehending how it was even playable on consoles.

Regardless, I hear Bioware put some good effort into giving a different combat system for the console versions so good on them for that.
DA:O was really easy to play on Consoles, I am on my seconde playthrough and its really easy. Not that hard to comprehend.
thank you, i swore
VOLDEMORT! just kidding. but i swore i was the only one!
who enjoyed playing dragon age with a controller, the snap functions for enemies mixed in with the easy to use wheel for everything you would ever need on it made fights run like a dream. Now i HATE being snobbish most of the time but if you seriously couldn't play this game because it was on controller you either

1) seriously suck with controllers, and really need to learn how to use one

2) are just that damn ignorant

Yes, unfortunately they have twisted the game so that the correct platform is now one with a controller.
IMO any RPG that doesn't positively require a mouse and keyboard just isn't trying hard enough.
Ehhhhhh. Not true. You're really supposed to be playing it with a mouse and keyboard, they've just sort of kind of half-assedly added in a second control option on top of that which almost makes controller play viable. Having played the demo, I can attest that they put no effort into the so-called "action-RPG" controls and that it's the exact same game as the first one.

I haven't actually played the demo, but I hear that console is very action oriented, while PC is much more strategy oriented.

I'm more of a thinking man, and I don't own a console, so...

Perhaps, I guess I was just sounding off about console creep that's been going on over the last 5 years, the console platform is slowly but surely moving though the stock of traditionally PC games and beating the shit out of them with a big fat retard stick. Its like a rot or a cancer really.
Plus I really didn't like the first DAO so I guess I'm biased against the second... I was promised something to equal Baldurs gate and what I got was the worst RPG I've ever played. That sort of thing leaves an impression.

My PC is some 15 times more powerful than a PS3, so there's really no question ...

Well, unless the glitchy shadows bug from the demo doesn't get fixed.

Agreed. I'm no fan either. Frankly I feel like Bioware misses the core of the RPG experience just as much as any other company; they forget the creative problem-solving in favor of a skinner box made of abstract statistics and spreadsheets of equipment. In a lot of ways I get a truer RPG experience out Metal Gear Solid--and definitely Deus Ex--than I do out of anything Bioware has ever made.
