As it has been said before the Human Noble plot synergises well with the Arl Howe plot and makes it even better when you confront that two faced bastard.

If you want lots of money the Dwarf Noble route is the best as your second sets up shop in the capital as a merchant and offers a hefty discount as well as giving more money to you when buying up your unwanted items. I also believe you become king after Harramount dies.

IMO the game was designed around the Human noble origin. The story just flows better and things make more sense. Plus you can be King or queen.

While interesting, the main flaw with the Dwarf noble origin is that you weren't able to have yourself crowned king or queen. Why choose between the two other guys when you're obviously the best one suited?

I really liked the Dwarf commoner origin and it tied in nicely into the main Orizimmar part of the story.

I love my Dalish elf. Plus you turn up at Ostagar and can be like "Yes I've fought Darkspawn before" and go through the entire game being a prick to humans and dwarves and incredibly badass and experienced.

Dwarven Noble has the best written story, and you get to play as a Dwarf.
Dalish Elf isn't particularly fun or interesting, and you're stuck playing as a pansy Elf.
Human Noble is the most boring option in the game. Playing as a human in a fantasy game is like playing as an accountant.

I'm pretty sure as a casteless kinslayer surfacer warden, you are very ineligible for the throne.

But if you survive you get named as a Paragon.

That pretty much trumps everything.

I normally like playing as a Human Mage so that i'm a cousin of Hawke from DA2 but their opening chapter really does suck. City Elf is probably my favourite opening though..

I liked my human noble (first character I made), it isn't the most unusual origin, lore-wise, but I felt that it had some of the most deep-reaching consequences with the storyline.

I also liked dalish elf / dwarven noble though.

I went with city elf my first time and ever since, no other option has felt as complete. I know that isn't a poll option, but hear me out.

My character was female. I won't spoil the opening. But because of what happened, she came to be dark and resentful of humans, of men, and even her heritage. The city elf origin, I feel, made the most out of the game logically personal for the Warden. Of course she hates the human nobility, look what they did. Of course her elven blood makes her quiver, they're partly responsible for her pain. Where she started as a normal, healthy, happy girl, she came out a broken hero.

I always play human female noble. Because that's the best character to have at the Landsmeet, it's pretty much the pinnacle of the game and sets the stakes incredibly high for the ... offer... that follows. Highly recommended.

Steve Blum says there's talks of making you a Paragon. You never get a definite answer.
Also: If you do the Dwarf Noble Origin, you get to be Steve Blum's wingman.
Who doesn't want to help Steve Blum get laid?
